Anointing The Sick

The latest Satanic Sermons are now available to download. The new Anointing The Sick Show opens with Witch Hunters Massasauga and ends with a colossal debris field of doom with funeral doom/deathsters Ennui. I've highlighted some  bands that were special enough to feature in The Doom Charts and also guided you to a couple of albums available for NYP on Bandcamp. The filth pit has been emptied of Crawl, Feral and Elder Devil. This week's heinous hymns are performed by ~MASSASAUGA                 #24 Doom Charts (June)WONDERSREAPING FLESHSATURNUSCRAWLFERALDISTORTED FORCEPSYTHONSHEELDER DEVILCREEPING DEATHIRON BUDDHAJOHNNY THE BOYSIL KHANNAZCORROZIONCHURCH OF MISERY            #2 Doom Charts (June)WITCHSKULL                        #5  Doom Charts (June)BARBARIAN PROPHECIESUFOMAMMUTENNUI'MUSICAL FILTH FOR SICK MINDS'

Black Metal, one of the genres I'm most picky of but has been infesting my music collection more and more over recent years and waddya know, surprise, surprise, this non curated playlist has turned out to be arguably, the most brutal I've ever compiled. As usual I've turned to Encyclopaedia Metallum for the final say in whether or not the band is black metal enough to be included, therefore apart from the trve stuff, expect death and doom with other sub genres in between.Included in this playlist from beneath the floor of hell is ~ABBATH - Trapped Under Ice (Dread Reaver 2021)BARBARIAN PROPHECIES - Multiple (Origin 2019)CAMBION - Cities of Brass (Conflagrate The Celestial Refugium 2021)DAEVA - Loosen The Tongue Of The Dead (Through Sheer Will And Black Magic 2022)EAST SHERMAN - Appeasement (Tour Demo 2015)FATIGUE - Grind (III 2020)GAEREA - Cycle Of Decay (Unsettling Whispers 2018)HAND OF THE HORSEWITCH - Born In The Mouth Of A Beast ( Born In The Mouth Of A Beast 2009)IMMORTAL - Unsilent Storms In The North Abyss ( The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh (Live) 2010)KAFIRUN - The Seed, The Serpent, The Scythe (Single 2021)LANGUISH - Corporate Dystopia (Feeding The Flames Of Annihilation 2022)MAAHES - Perfection (Reincarnation 2020)NATHR - Tenebra Mundi (Beinahrúga 2021)OBED MARSH - Hieronymous: Matricide Lineage (Dunwich 2019)PAGANUS DOCTRINA - El surgir de Prometeo (Omnipotence Aeternae Diabolous 2015)RAZIEL - God Hole (Raziel 2017)SAARKOTH - Beyond The Horizon (Jera 2018)TANATOR - Fake Victory (Disapotheosis 2022)ULFUD - Tears Of Terra (Of Existential Distortion 2023)VAEE SOLIS - Cosmocrat (Adversarial Light 2015)1914WALLOWING - Cyborg Asphyxiation (Earth Reaper 2023)XPUS - Clerical Rooms Of Depravity (In Umbra Mortis Sedent 2020)YALDABAOTH - Mock Divine Fury (That Which Whets the Saccharine Palate 2020)ZHRINE - Empire ( Unortheta 2016)1914 - The Hundred Days Offensive (The Blind Leading The Blind 2018)ABOMINISM - Predation In Times Of Apocalypse (Abominism 2019)BARBARIAN SWORDS - Outcast Warlords (Worms 2016)CARMA - Lamento (Carma 2015)DAKHMA - The Rite Of Dominion (The Rite of Dominion:Shehrevar (Blessings Of Amurdad 2021)EAT THE DARK - Egregious Path (Lord Muc 2017)

The show may now be called by a new name but the music stays just as brutal. The features remain the same including the usual delve into the filth pit, bands featured in the Doom Charts and albums available NYP on Bandcamp. On this, the first Anointing The Sick show, I'm opening with a track from one of my death metal albums of the year by Imperishable and closing with the sadly defunct Thorr-Axe, expect HOF type gnarliness. The filth pit has spewed out Mormo among many others.Today's Litanies are by ~ImperishableThe BleedingExnunVoidhavenDemented HeartPyrexiaDog TiredKill DivisionBlack Rainbows  #3 In June's Doom ChartsRise To FallThe Arcane OrderClaustrumJesus Chrusler SupercarAll Life EndsMireplanerOwls & EaglesCarry The TorchRebel SoulsCavem3n  Bandcamp NYPParacronaMormo  Bandcamp NYPExtremaThorr-Axe'Filthy Music  For Sick Minds'

I couldn't send over my May's Doom Charts contribution but now the dust has settled here are my personal top 12 choices some of which would have made the charts. May was exceptional for the more extreme forms of doom which is reflected here by Vnder a Crvmbling Moon which just nudged ahead of some stiff, droning, sludgy competition. The HM-2 deathly guitar tone was taken to another level by Vomitheist along with several excellent death metal bands. I love my psych, jam bands but they rarely make an appearance, however, the new album by Smokey Mirror managed to weave its magic into this months top twelve. Album of the Month is taken by the amazing, Candlemassy doom tones of Grief Collector. GRIEF COLLECTOR ~ In Times of Woehttps://griefcollector1.bandcamp.com/album/in-times-of-woeVOMITHEIST ~ NekroFvneralhttps://vomitheistdm.bandcamp.com/album/nekrofvneralVNDER A CRVMBLING MOON ~ I: Oblivionhttps://vnderacrvmblingmoon.bandcamp.com/album/i-oblivionINHALE ~ Easy Way Outhttps://inhaledoom.bandcamp.com/album/easy-way-outGORRIFIED ~ Horrific Gorehttps://gorrified.bandcamp.com/album/horrific-goreWILDEORNES ~  ....on the Earth, Under the Sky...https://wildeornes.bandcamp.com/album/on-the-earth-under-the-skySMOKEY MIRROR ~ Smokey Mirror  #17 ( May Doom Charts)https://smokeymirrortx.bandcamp.com/album/smokey-mirror-3"On their hotly anticipated self-titled debut album, SMOKEY MIRROR deliver 9 blistering tracks of heavy and bluesy psychedelia." ~Ben Bellum (The Greatest Thing You’ve Never Heard)SPINEBREAKER ~ Cavern of Inoculated Cognitionhttps://spinebreaker.bandcamp.com/album/cavern-of-inoculated-cognitionIRON BUDDHA ~ Raze//Reposehttps://ironbuddha.bandcamp.com/album/raze-reposeTHEY WATCH US FROM THE MOON ~ Cosmic Chronicles, Act I: The Ascension #10 (May Doom Charts)https://theywatchusfromthemoon.bandcamp.com/album/cosmic-chronicles-act-i-the-ascension"Their soaring vocals mix well with the doomy riffs and exceptional lead guitar work, making for one of the best records to ever grace the Doom Charts list! ~ Tom Hanno (Tom’s Reviews, The Third Eye)OKWAHO ~ The Usurper Regimehttps://okwaho.bandcamp.com/album/the-usurper-regimeVOMITORY ~ All Heads Are Gonna Rollhttps://vomitory.bandcamp.com/album/all-heads-are-gonna-roll
