When the Rommies’ partners go away for the summer, they soon realize they need a new outlet for their horniness, and what better way than to road trip to the beach with a cousin-in-law?? Listen in as they dive into Alfonso Cuarón’s masterpiece, which may be the horniest and summeriest (and saddest) film of the entire run.

After taking some time off in Somewhere In The Indian Ocean, the Rommies return to the sumptuous locales of the Mediterranean to have a romantic summer fling with their one true love: a peach. Join them as they discuss one of the horniest Best Picture nominees in recent memory (that unfortunately lost to the not-nearly-as-horny movie where Sally Hawkins fucks a fish instead of a fruit).

What’s hornier/summerer than a mustachioed Anthony Edwards singing about great [big] balls, playing [the most homoerotic game of beach volleyball ever committed to film] with the boys, or [finding] that lovin’ feelin’ for your teacher? Why, the American Military-Industrial Complex of course! After the Rommies get everyone they know to come to a beautiful Greek island for their wedding, they simply have no choice but to try and determine who their father is by getting horned up to ABBA songs. When the patron saints of Horny Summer (Glen Powell, tornadoes) team up for a new movie, you GOTTA know the Rommies are gonna be there to cover it! Join them for a whirlwind discussion about how this legacyquel updates and/or rehashes the original, the absolute joy of a dumb (but well-made) summer blockbuster, and the complete and utter failure of this movie not being even remotely horny. Plus, Matt and Tierney finally get to the bottom of whether or not Collin masterminded the entire Horny Summer pob run simply because he wanted to talk about this movie that he hadn’t even seen yet.

After a fairly chaste school year, the Rommies decide to try and have a horny summer by moving into their dying dad’s fully automated domicile (a SMART HOUSE, if you will) which is conveniently located across the street from their crush. At first, their plan works! They are able to spend quality time (both in and out of the shower) with their crush, and their dad even starts getting into the horny summer vibe by reconnecting with his ex-wife. After a few weeks though, the Personal Applied Technology computer (PAT, if you will) that runs the house starts to get jealous of all the horniness. It takes corporeal form and traps the Rommies and their dad in the house in an attempt to keep the horniness all to itself. Will the Rommies be able to escape PAT and the SMART HOUSE to have one more horny summer with their crush before school starts again? Will the Rommies’ dad be able to escape PAT and the SMART HOUSE to have one last horny summer before dying? Listen in to find out!

While the rest of the world transitioned from Pop Girl Spring to Brat Summer and now to Moo Deng Autumn, the Rommies are holding fast to Horny Summer with this fresh, hot-off-the-presses (i.e., recorded many months ago back when it actually WAS summer) new episode! Listen in as they praise early-career Kathryn Bigelow’s directing chops, debate whose is the real love story of the movie, and wonder if there’s an alternate universe where the surfing movie became a global blockbuster franchise that (somehow?) escalated to towing a bank vault through Rio (on surfboards? on dry land?) or riding a wave into space (liquid water would freeze up there? spacesuits don’t seem as convenient for surfing as wetsuits?).
