The idea of circumcision can be a sensitive topic to talk about – no pun intended. It’s cutting flesh – and it’s painful! But as you’ll learn in today’s message, it’s a sacrifice that shows commitment. God intended it to be a sign for His people to the world – that they are willing to do whatever’s necessary to follow the Lord. As Pastor Mark says today, the practice of circumcision as a sign of following God isn’t widely practiced anymore – not since Jesus came and died for our sins. Now, we have a new way of showing our commitment to Him. It can still be painful, cutting parts of the world out of your life, but it’s a symbol of your devotion to Christ.
