This week, we began our series through Matthew by looking at the history of Israel from the point where Nehemiah left off, and Matthew picked up. We also read through the first seventeen verses where we saw how God was able to use a very broken family lineage to bring redemption to the whole world.

This week, Matt Larson dives into how being filled by the Spirit can change every area of our lives. Life in the Spirit can be measured by its fruit. Matt sheds light on how the Holy Spirit is the expression of love from God the Father.

This week, Matt Larson finishes out the text of Nehemiah, where we see how quickly the people of Jerusalem return to their old ways and break their covenant with God. Through the work of Jesus and a life in submission to the Holy Spirit, we are now able to break the patterns of sin in our lives.

The message of Nehemiah chapters 11-12 is that God’s presence in our lives will change our whole way of life. It drives us to lives of service of God, worship of God and faithfully giving back to God!

This week, Josh Lewis teaches through Nehemiah 10, where we see the people of Israel committing to follow all of God’s law again and promising to be a fully obedient people. Today, Nehemiah 10 points us to our need for Jesus who has fully accomplished what the nation of Israel was never able to do.

This week, Matt Larson teaches from Nehemiah 9, where we see that the Word of God leads us to confession and repentance. As we explore God’s story it shows us how broken we are.

This week, Matt Larson takes us back to Nehemiah 8, where we see how the people of Jerusalem responded to the finished work of the wall, and then responded to the word of God. We also invited the leaders of homes to center their households around Jesus.

This week, Matt Larson teaches through the end of chapter six and seven where we see that as the people of God take shape into his community, there are structures and systems that are put in place to carry out the purposes of God.

This week, Matt Larson teaches through Nehemiah 6, where we see how Nehemiah’s singular focus on God’s mission, in the face of opposition, shows us how to resist distraction, temptation, and disobedience to God’s call on our life, for his mission.

This week, Josh Lewis takes us to Nehemiah 5 where we see a call for the people of God to pursue living in unity with one another through the example of Jesus.
