Sydney's international Mardi Gras event was held at the start of March so I thought I'd honour the event with 2 editions of some of the biggest tracks featured at the main party over the years I have been attending. For me many of these songs have special significance or meaning associated with the memories they have created. Part 1 kicks off with the timeless classic "Shoot Me With Your Love" by D:Ream. This English duo were huge in the mid 90's. Any FGTH track is a classic so I've included the updated Lockout remix of their cultural anthem "Relax". No Mardi Gras party would be complete without a swag of diva anthems, so included here are songs from Mariah Carey, Deborah Cox & Jennifer Lopez. The 7th edition of my series focusing on male vocalists has music from various years & genres. The set kicks off with 3 classic tracks. First up is a cover of the 1979 track "Pop Muzic" by M. This cover by Marqus has been remixed into a floor stomper by Hex Hector in the late 90's. Mirrorball's "Burnin" samples the classic track "Don't Leave Me This Way" & Whelan & Di Scala turn in an excellent remix of David Guetta & Chris Willis' collaboration "Just A Little More Love". Russ Rich & LFB (Leo Frappier) are turning out some great club remixes & here, they do the honours on Coldplay's "A Sky Full Of Stars" & Peyton's new track, "Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot". The Rizzo & H3dRush remix of JT's
"Suit & Tie" is pure house bliss & 7th Heaven work their magic on Nathaniel's "Live Louder" to close out this edition of MEN. Enjoy

Part 2 of the essential Enrique Iglesias collection features more recent tracks from his career. He has dueted with quite a few artists in recent years, most notably his collaborations with Pitbull. This mix features the hits "I Like How It Feels" ; "I Like It" & "I'm A Freak" all with Pitbull as well as his smash hit "Dirty Dancer" with Usher & "Finally Found You". Featured remixes here are from Benny Benassi, Cahill, Moto Blanco & the always impressive 7th Heaven to name a few. Enrique Iglesias is a personal favourite of mine & this collection is another example of why he is one of the most successful male artists in popular music culture. Enjoy

The Essentials series continues, this time with the first male artist. I chose Enrique Iglesias mainly because I like his music & he consistantly releases great songs with wide commercial appeal. As with previous Essential artists, I've kicked off part 1 with tracks from his early & mid career. The Hex Hector mix of "Sad Eyes" is epic & quite rare to find these days as is the Mijango's mix of "Rhythm Divine", the track that brought him global attention. Thunderpuss were at their peak at this time & deliver 2 excellent remixes - "Hero" & "Be With You". Enrique dueted with many female artists & his collaborations with Nicole Scherzinger & Ciara feature here. The next edition will feature his ongoing collaborations with Pitbull & other artists. Enjoy

Here is the third instalment in the Heaven series. As with the previous editions, Heaven 3 is packed with classic, uplifting vocal house music as well as a few new remixes & remakes. The JRMX mix of Kristine W's "One More Try" kicks the set off & is absolutely beautiful. Morlando add a great mix of the old Dina Carroll track "Ain't No Man" which is remade by Strictlove. Hex Hector's classic mix of "Satisfied" by Rhona & Beyonce's classic track "If I Were A Boy" blend in & Sonatron remix their contemporary remake of "Running Up That Hill". Almighty deliver 2 great cover mixes & the gorgeous Tina Arena's "Still Running", mixed by Adam Turner brings to a close this third slice of Heaven. Enjoy
