In 2014, 28-year-old German man Lars Joachim Mittank was vacationing in Bulgaria with his friends when he was involved in a physical altercation that left him too injured to fly back home as scheduled. Mittank was reportedly acting strangely before disappearing from the Varna Airport and running into the nearby forest only days later.
