Disney World is the number one tourist destination in the world, you should expect a crowd. There are times of the year where it's extremely crowded, I don't know the time of year where its not crowded at all.

Getting caught in a rain in Disney World isn't the worst thing in the world. Its also not the best thing. I know the people who run the shops can't stand when its raining. They have to clean up all the water people track in and drip all over the place. It's fun to look around the shops in Disney world in the rain. The lighting will make you search for cover.
