  • Unusual Guided Meditation Exercise For People With Aphantasia

If you have difficulty visualizing, or aphantasia, this meditation may help you develop the ability to visualize. Through the use of bright lights and other techniques, this meditation aims to help people with aphantasia develop the ability to visualize.  I found out I wasn't able to visualize last year, and fell into a bit of a depression. I wanted the ability so bad, and knowing that other people could just make things appear in their brain made me feel so totally JEALOUS.   Now I'm trying to develop ways to train my brain via brain mapping, to be able to visualize. After my first attempt describing what I was seeing with my eyes closed I saw a very distinct blue star, now I believe I have the ability I just need to train and develop it. Try this meditation if you are curious about your own ability to visualize!

  • Exploring Aphantasia Through Signs and Experiments

Aphantasia is a condition where people are unable to visualize mental images. This can be a difficult condition to cope with because it means that people are unable to daydream, visualize memories, or see mental images when they read. Aphantasia can also make it difficult to imagine future scenarios, plan for events, or understand spatial relationships.

There is still much unknown about aphantasia, so I'm taking it into my own hands to perform experiments on myself. Listen along to hear how I've followed the signs in my life to lead me to start experimenting with myself.

During my first experiment, inspired by Nikola Tesla, I had a MAJOR breakthrough; I saw a blue star!!!!  Now I am convinced I can train myself to be able to visualize. Keep listening to follow my journey!

  • My Aphantasia Journey: How Discovering My Brain Without Imagination Affected My Mental Health

In this episode, I discuss how I found out I had Aphantasia and how it has affected my mental health. Aphantasia is a neurological condition in which a person is not able to visualize in their mind's eye. When I found out, my first thought was "other people can do this?" My mind was flooded with questions about how much life would be different if I too could experience life with the ability to form mental images. I felt a deep sense of sadness, as if I had been robbed of something important. I was also deeply jealous of people who could hold on to vivid and lasting visual memories, while I could not.

Follow along on my journey as I learn to cope with my confusing feelings around my Aphantasia while learning how to trust my intuition, and also how to podcast.

  • Aphantasia - Exploring Expressions and Learning Skills that Make No Sense To Asphants

Aphantasia is a condition where people are unable to visualize images in their mind's eye. This can have a big impact on learning, as many people rely on visualization to help them understand and remember information. I live with aphantasia, and since I only recently learned I have it, I wonder what impact it actually had on me growing up. In this episode, I ramble through some expressions that don't make sense to me, as well as things that helped me learn vs. what didn't.

  • Exploring Aphantasia and Prophetic Dreaming

In this podcast, I'll be exploring the phenomenon of Aphantasia, or the inability to conjure up mental images. Aphantasia is a relatively new topic of research, and not much is known about it yet. However, some studies suggest that Aphantasia is more common than previously thought. I'll be discussing what is known about Aphantasia, as well as dreams and what they may mean. Plus, we'll talk about what it's like having a prophetic dream, is that what deja-vu is? Could your dreams mean you are psychic? --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/aphantasia/message

I'll get better. Join me! Aphantastic's unite! Before I discovered that I had aphantasia, I always assumed that everyone saw the world the way I did. Imagine my surprise when I realized that there was a whole other way of experiencing the world that I was missing out on! It was a really mind-blowing experience for me.

Since then, I've been on a mission to learn more about how other people's minds work. I'm constantly amazed by the variety of ways that people can experience the world. I'm also excited to discover that I'm not alone in having aphantasia. There are lots of other people out there who share my experience.

About Aphantasia Experiments

From the publisher's feed

Hi, I’m Robin. I began this podcast exploring life with aphantasia—the absence of a “mind’s eye”—but the journey has expanded far beyond that. What started as an attempt to “fix” myself became an exploration into creativity, consciousness, and the hidden ways we experience the world.
