Apologia Radio

On this episode of Apologia Radio we spend time listening to the continued decay of the minds in our culture with our exclusive NPR (Not Public Radio) segment with Steady Randy. We chop-it-up over “safe spaces”, “micro-aggressions”, and the like. We also spend some time reviewing a recent clip from Wretched with brother, Todd Friel. Todd spent a few moments reviewing some comments from Dr. John MacArthur regarding, in our minds, cultural surrender and retreat. We address the fact that Friel has to spend great effort walking back Dr. MacArthur’s comments.

Note: We highly respect and deeply treasure these two men. However, we believe that the position they advocate for is inconsistent with a truly Biblical Worldview and therefore needs to be lovingly and respectfully critiqued.

Finally, Jeff spends a few moments reviewing just a bit of an Atheist’s attempt at refuting Jeff’s recent conference talk in Iowa.

Unless you have only been listening to mainstream media you have no doubt heard about the escalating situation involving the United States and Russia. While the media has been focusing in upon Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump tensions have been rising between to world superpowers. We need to first remind ourselves about the total sovereignty of God over all things and that all things work together for good for those who love God (Romans 8:28). There is absolutely no cause for fear and alarm. However, it’s important, as Christians, that we begin a discussion about Just War Theory. What is a consistently Christian way to speak about foreign intervention? Does the Bible have anything to say about this? Have Christians addressed this before and was it ever applied in history?

We also talk about some of the recent news regarding the escalating tension between Russia and the United States.

Jeff Durbin preaches a message on what the Bible has to say about socialism, taxation, and Biblical economics.

We talk a lot about apologetics at Apologia Church. Wouldn’t you know it with a name like Apologia (from the Greek: a reasoned defense). We often remind one another that the Triune God of the Scriptures is the central reference point for all truth. Without Him, we are reduced to absurdity and foolishness and cannot provide a meaningful foundation for any claim to knowledge. The Biblical Worldview is the necessary starting point for knowledge and wisdom. This is not simply true concerning so-called ‘religious matters’. This is true in reference to everything: art, logic, arithmetic, beauty, morality, and political discourse.

We are close to the end of another election cycle. This particular election has a fervor not completely unlike any other. Everyone thinks that EVERY election is the most important one. However it is a fervor that cannot be missed due to the unique nature of the two main candidates. As a Minister of the Gospel, it is my duty to equipment the people of God under my care to face the issues of life in a way that glorifies God. Therefore, I felt it necessary to provide an important foundation for Apologia Church in terms of one of the most important things we need to know and be concerned with regarding government; irrespective of the current candidates and irrespective of who wins the presidency.

These are “love your neighbor” kind of issues. These are issues we all must speak prophetically into and can all permanently agree to and have unity around.

You do not want to miss this new episode of Apologia Radio! We play through a message from a chapel service at BYU Idaho from the end of 2015. The Latter-day Saint representative quotes directly from Mormon prophets leaving absolutely no question regarding the near deification of Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith is elevated in the teachings of Mormon prophets and apostles in such a way that he becomes essential for salvation. Don’t believe us? Take a listen for yourself.

The speaker (Jayson Kunzler) agrees.

This is a must share episode! Share it with your Mormon friends, family, and neighbors. Let people know about what the Mormon church (officially) teaches about their prophet through the teachings of their own leaders. As Jeff says in this episode, we live in a wonderful time for evangelism to Latter-day Saints. God is exposing the darkness of Mormonism. Let’s use this opportunity to share the truth about the true Christ and the Biblical Gospel.

Don’t forget to sign-up for All Access to partner with us in ministry and to get all of our TV shows, our After Shows, and our Apologia Academy in which you can learn from Jeff Durbin and Dr. James White about how to reach Mormons! Sign-up at Apologiaradio.com.

On this newest episode of Apologia Radio we discuss the Law of God. Does the Law of God have any continuing validity in modern society? Is God still concerned with justice, victims’ rights, and obedience to His Standards under the New Testament? Does the Bible have any eschatological promises regarding God’s Law under the Kingdom of the Messiah? Is the Law of God relevant in light of the current societal unrest?

Listen-in to an interesting discussion in which we engage a few current issues in light of the discussion surrounding God’s Law. We highlight the glory of Jesus Christ, His Atonement, the free gift of eternal life, and the power of the Holy Spirit of God in the sanctification of the believer and His causing us to obey His statutes (Ezekiel 36).

As always, we are grateful to all of our friends and partners who join with us in our mission of the Gospel. Thank you for being a part of this with us.
