Dog Party are a two piece rock band based out of Sacramento, California. Dog Party have been a band for 12 years now which makes this early 20's duo veterans in the punk/touring scene. Their 2018 release Hit & Run is self released through Cobraside distribution. They're on a summer tour that will have them back just in time to got back to school. Check out their tour date below.

Miguel Chen is the bass player for Teenage Bottlerocket. TBR is on Fat Wreck Chords and is in the middle of a world tour. they've already played South America, South Africa and South Florida (citation needed). Miguel also owns and operates a Yoga studio with his wife. He's managed to blend punk rock with a healthy life balance that's very unique in this business. TBR is coming to Canada this week and will play Montebello's Rockfest. Anyone that knows this show knows that I adore Rockfest and it's organizers. It's one of the best festivals we have and Teenage Bottlerocket are one of the many awesome bands on the bill!

Brian Doherty was the lead guitar player and co-founder of "Big Wreck". A band that was founded in a dorm room at Berklee college of music in the early nineties. Brian was a kind and humble man with some pretty great stories to share. I want to thank Colton Taylor that hooked up this talk with Brian. Condolences to family, loved ones and fans.

Andre Alves plays guitar and sings in Sao Paulo Brazils "Statues on Fire". Statues on Fire were just about to go on tour in Germany before when we spoke about a week ago. Statues on Fire is a style of melodic hardcore similar to bands like Strung Out and Belvedere with a welcoming 90's sound. Brazil is having similar if not worse political problems like our American brothers and sisters. This always breeds great punk rock!

Lee Rose is the lead singer and principal song writer for Toronto's "Ace of Wands". Great Lyrics and and song writing makes this band. They are true to their sound and ethic in todays fickle musical landscape. Their debut LP is titled "Lioness" and it was recorded a few songs at a time until there was a record. ace of wands is a trio that has Anna Mernieks on Guitar/Vocals and Jody Brumell on drums. AOW approached this album different than conventional albums by starting with voice and guitar. the drums and instruments came later when the feeling of the song was set. I encourage you all to go get their music!

Spencer B is the vocalist for Santa Cruz's 'Give you Nothing'. Formed from a few different hardcore bands in the local area, 'Give you Nothing' is reminiscent of the early/mid 90's skate punk and it's amazingly played and recorded. Their album is out on snubbed records and was released on May 1 2019. Spencer has been known to promote a few shows in he day. Turns out we were in the same room a few times about 20 years ago a few times in Santa Cruz.

Jeremy Dove and I go back to the early 90's. Jeremy and I first met when he joined a band I knew called 'Yet Another Posse'. A rap metal band that had a ton of potential. So much that the major labels came calling. As many bands fates go, YAP had a go at the business and they were about 1 year ahead of their time when bands like limp bizkit had yet to be discovered.
