2007 Arctic Monkeys started a three-week run at No.1 on the UK album chart with their second album Favourite Worst Nightmare. The album was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Prize and won Best British Album at the 2008 Brit Awards.

And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld was born in 1954 and actor Daniel Day-Lewis was born on this day in the UK in 1957 and this is some of the stuff he has done.
