Archaeology Supports the Bible

This is Ken Ham, the CEO of the ministry behind the chronological Answers Bible Curriculum.

Some people claim the Bible was just made up by people who lived long after its events supposedly happened. But did you know the Bible’s been confirmed by archaeology? Take these three examples:

  1. A slab was discovered that read “the House of David,” confirming David existed.
  2. A stone was found bearing the name “Pilate,” the Roman governor who sentenced Jesus to death, proving Pilate wasn’t just made up, like many people thought.
  3. Another slab mentions Omri, king of Israel, and Yahweh, the personal name of the God of the Bible.

    4. The Bible wasn’t made up at all. The ultimate author is God, who does not lie. It really is the Word of God.
