In a crisis or any other time, efficiency is critical in business. One of the recurring issues we see in almost all businesses is that the core processes, the ones that create revenue for the business, are often undocumented and unclear. Having documented processes will separate your business from the crowd and make your business real. These define the foundation of what your business does and who your business is. One of the fastest way to get your business into momentum is to document your processes. Now is an opportune time to document your processes, clarify them, and make them as efficient as possible. With documentation, you can see a reduction in the time needed to complete a process by as much as 90%. I share this figure with people all the time, let me share with you a recent issue in our company and the 90% reduction that documenting process created. As a leader of your business, you are the most important person on the team every day. When you take care of yourself first, you are able to take care of your team and move things forward. Today more than ever as leaders we need to be aware, present, and able to make the right decisions. The reality is that, as a leader in your business, your team will respond to the way you show up, now more than ever before. Being present and showing up in the right way will create confidence in your team during these challenging times. In this episode of the Momentum Podcast, I want to show you what it takes to create the systems in your life that will prevent crisis from doing damage to your business. It may sound cliché to "put your mask on first" but in a crisis like this one, it's not a cliché it's mandatory. When you are in leadership, the way you show up is going to determine how your team shows up, this is more important now than ever. Crises create ambiguity. Ambiguity creates insecurity. Insecurity will rob your momentum. The first thing to do in a crisis is to eliminate ambiguity and understand your financial situation. It is a challenging place to go in challenging times, but understanding exactly what is happening for you and your business financially will provide invaluable perspective into how your business can start to recover and overcome the current market. Very few people go straight to the worst-case scenario in a crisis, because we are all trying to avoid it. Those who do and understand what could happen, have a basis for making better decisions. By eliminating ambiguity and understanding your financial position, you will create a foundation so you can make far better decisions. Resources Mentioned: PredictableBusinessSolutions.com
When someone says something like “all we need to do is think positive.” I will admit that I am immediately irritated. If all it took for people to move forward in the world was thinking positive, we would all think positive and everything will be resolved. Especially in a crisis situation, that's just not how it works. If you are trying to white knuckle or use will power to create positive thinking, it just won't work. The higher the pressure and noise, the more difficult it is to remain positive. In this episode of the Momentum Podcast, I will show you that the only way to make sure you remain positive and consistent is to create process in your life and in your business. Just thinking positively is not enough, process creates positive thinking. Implementing these simple processes into your life and into your business will radically change the way you are able to make it through this challenging time. My wife, Cadey, and I have built businesses that have helped thousands of entrepreneurs navigate crisis situations. We helped thousands of entrepreneurs navigate a financial crisis that was brought on by the market, personal issues, and challenges in their business. There is a way to successfully navigate challenging times for entrepreneurs and the good news is that we can do it successfully every time. I’ve seen it, coached it, and implemented it myself in order to build successful businesses in the middle of challenging circumstances. In this episode, I want to help you understand that in the middle of a crisis, there is more opportunity. Multi-billion-dollar companies will be launched in this crisis. Opportunities come when markets are unstable and there's only one way for us as entrepreneurs to take advantage of them. We must adopt the right mindset. It's not what comes naturally, but it's what will actually get you through this and help you make a massive contribution. Resources Mentioned: PredictableBusinessSolutions.com
In the midst of a global crisis, entrepreneurs around the world are overwhelmed with decisions that must be made in order to survive. In 2007, I faced a very similar situation with the U.S. economic collapse that sent my wife and me spiraling into bankruptcy. That situation was one of the most humbling and devastating experiences I’ve ever gone through, but it taught me the importance of decision-making in crisis situations. Within a year, Cadey and I were liquid millionaires once more, and by 2011 we had built a company that was #21 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies in the United States. In this episode of the Momentum Podcast, I want to share with you the exact process and framework we used in the midst of the financial crisis of 2007 to make decisions on a consistent and recurring basis. Not only did this framework save us and make us millions of dollars, but it is also still changing the lives of entrepreneurs all across the globe through our coaching programs. You can and will get through this, and when you can make the right decisions, you can continue to grow your business even when the world is in a panic.
