This is a very special podcast. I had the privilege of interviewing our very own Graphic Designer, Karina Arnal. Karina has been on an incredible journey since she started working with us. Throughout this episode, she shares how her life has been completely transformed over the past year. Here's a sneak peek into her episode: Karina used to struggle with her personality type and perception of the world. She was constantly told she was weird, and her behavior wasn't normal. Karina felt like no matter where she went, she just never fit in. These urges were so strong that she moved from Venezuela to Ireland! She was diagnosed with clinical depression and was told she had it her whole life. She began therapy and shortly after joined Charfen as our Graphic Designer. She started to apply the content we teach in Momentum Masterclass and began experiencing massive changes in her life. Karina went from barely talking at all when she first joined to now recording this podcast! She quit smoking and has been smoke-free for over three months now! She has the desire to keep working towards having a better quality of life, wakes up happy, and wants to be alive. The world needs to hear Karina's story. If this helped you or you know someone who it may help, please share! Resources mentioned: https://freemomentumbook.com/ept
It's a common misconception that measuring or "tracking" your employee's work is micromanaging. But in reality, without measurement, you will be forced to micromanage. Here's why, when you're not measuring, you have to consistently check in with people to know what's happening and what the issues are. When you don't have a perspective as to what someone is doing, you are going to step into transactional management naturally. Eliminate micromanagement by adding measurements around each team members role. Make sure every person on your team has measurements tailored to their job, and they know exactly what is expected of them. They need to know what you need from them and if they're achieving their measurements on a scoreboard. I've talked about it in previous episodes, but ensure each member on your team has a clear outcome, a clear perspective, and accountability in place. When you have measurements for your team, you can step into transformational leadership. When these metrics and milestones are set in place, you will notice growth in your team, yourself, and massive momentum across your organization. Measurement moves companies forward! A lot of our clients do well in their business then find themselves bored. This typically happens after pressure and noise are reduced, we’ve simplified, and everything is in a good place. Then they start to wonder what’s next and feel the absence of knowing what they should be doing. In the last few weeks, even I wondered what I should be focused on. Our team was absolutely crushing it, but that left me feeling a little bored and wondering what I should focus on. Just like I remind my clients, I recently had to remind myself that our days should continuously be evolving. We should always be changing what we do and building around what the business needs. I want you to ask yourself this question: how do I make this easier on me? If you keep asking yourself this question, you will consistently and systematically fix the deficit created by success. I share a lot of success stories on the Momentum Podcast, but not always the failures. I had someone reach out to me on Facebook and ask what happens to be the people who aren't successful in our programs. I sat there and thought about it, and decided sharing this would be valuable to this audience. Once I reflected, I noticed three commonalities for people who joined our program and failed. Even though it's hard for me to admit, there are a few people who haven't been successful in our coaching programs. Number one, they fail due to implementation. They don't implement what we teach them in our program. The second reason, they are getting way too much advice. Most of the time they are working with other people and us at the same time. They get paralysis from too much input, they have too much information, and they freeze. Third and usually the most likely reason due to failure is they are stuck in emotional overwhelm. They are in fight or flight mode and aren't willing to work on themselves. So many entrepreneurs go out and join programs without understanding why they are doing it, what they are getting, or being intentional about their decision. It may sound like common sense, but if you're not committed to something, and there's not an intention behind it, it's not going to work for you. As I've shared before we have a clear track record for helping people, but we can't help those who don't want to help themselves. The biggest takeaway - Before you make a decision, ask yourself if you're actually going to implement what you learned. Only buy what you need when you need it. Lastly, get clear on why you are buying something, so you are already committed to putting in the effort. Try this the next time you're going to make a purchase decision and let me know if it helped you be successful! Resources mentioned: Billionairecode.com
As an entrepreneur, if you’ve ever felt like you couldn’t get the help you need and you were never going to break through to finally not doing everything yourself, you’re not alone. So many of us have been there, just like our guest for today. In this podcast, we interview one of our Billionaire Code Accelerator clients, Emily Richett. She’s going to share with us how she’s grown her business faster than she ever thought possible, built a team she never thought she’d have, and the impact it’s had on her life. Predetermined decisions that entrepreneurs have creates a massive loss in momentum. When we set up constraints and barriers of saying we will never do something, it hurts us. Instead, be open-minded to change. Allow yourself and your team the opportunity to review something before you make a decision. Don't go into something thinking you will never do this or that, because chances are the minute you say "never," that almost ensures you will eventually. To grow your business, you're going to have to change your behavior and allow your perspective to adjust. When you allow your perspective to shift, you will see the world differently, which will lead you to different opinions than you first had. Growth in business equals behavioral change, and perspective shift equals business growth. If you want to scale your business, change is inevitable. To make things easier on you and your team, don't create predetermined constraints. When you change your behavior and stop saying never, you will experience a massive shift and acceleration in your business. Resources mentioned: Billionairecode.com
Entrepreneurs love a runaway success story, myself included. We want to know what that person is doing, how they did it, and see if we can do the same thing. The problem is, far too many people ask what they are doing and try to copy it exactly. But doing this can cause you major issues, and most likely end up hurting your business rather than helping it. It's okay to follow a success story, but make sure to build your company around the inspiration from it. Figure out what frameworks, what evaluations tools, etc. they are using. If you start mimicking someone's business plan precisely, it's going to cause you challenges. You will end up adding things your business doesn't even need because no two businesses are alike. Use success stories for ideas but then analyze your company to see what it needs. Tune in for my advice on what steps you need to take after becoming inspired by someone's success story! So many entrepreneurs feel imposter syndrome, including myself. We hear that voice in our head tell us we aren’t good enough as soon as we go to do something out of our comfort zone. When you feel it, you’re doing things right. It’s your subconscious pushing against you. If you struggle with this too, know that you are not alone, and almost everyone feels it. The people who experience imposter syndrome are the ones who end up breaking through and making things happen. The bad thing about imposter syndrome is that it will always be there. But the good news is that action kills the imposter. Push yourself every single day to move forward, even to the point where it feels uncomfortable. Trust me, what’s difficult for you today will get easier over time. Keep taking action over and over again. As you kill the imposter, you will find the things that scare you the most become the things that help you bring value to others. You are on the edge of growth, never quit. When you are willing to push through, that’s when you will become who you know you always should be. Resources mentioned: Billionairecode.com
