I first came across the discussion on agreeableness and income levels in a lecture by Jordan B Peterson on personality traits and the Big Five trait agreeableness which can also be thought of as compliance vs non-compliance, cooperation vs competition, or tender-mindedness vs tough-mindedness. The Big 5 is sometimes called The Five-Factor Model or The Ocean Personality Traits.
