Ari Aster Wrote a 'Hereditary' Prequel Film

Modern horror auteur Ari Aster has revealed a massive piece of unproduced lore: he has actually written a complete prequel script to his terrifying 2018 masterpiece, Hereditary. The prequel reportedly focuses entirely on the sinister matriarch, Ellen Taper Leigh, detailing how she originally formed the demonic coven and made the horrific pact with King Paimon. While Aster admitted the script exists and is fully fleshed out, he noted that he has no immediate plans to direct it, preferring to focus on new, original projects for the time being.
