On this 110th edition of the Arlington-Prospect Advice Givers Podcast. Thomas Middle School’s Principal, Brian Kaye, stresses the importance of building a growth mindset within his students. As Principal, he hopes all of his students walk away with an “I can” attitude as they enter their high school years and beyond.

Brian Kaye’s work within district 25 has been felt at many levels. Starting as a classroom teacher in Woodstock, Brian has always brought a student first mentality. With this mindset, his transition to administration has worked seamlessly to impact the students and faculty at Thomas Middle School.
Throughout Brian’s tenure there have been many initiatives implemented. We go in-depth during the interview on this topic. His favorite aspect of these initiatives has been the growth within his students. Brian says their results wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration of the great educators at Thomas he gets to work with everyday. The faculty working within district 25 are people who care about making an impact on children’s lives.
We also discuss the future of our education system. Brian loves the fact that children are playing a bigger role in the implementation of their curriculum. He believes the more input from the students, the better the experience they will have.
