This is the story of the Glatzel family, whose youngest son, 11-year-old David, was allegedly possessed by multiple demons. With the assistance of infamous paranormal investigators and demonologists, Lorrain and Ed Warren, he would endure several exorcisms to relieve him of the spirits and demons fighting over his soul. During one of these exorcisms, it is alleged that the demons left David, freeing him from their grip - however, finding a new host, in 18-year-old Arne Johnson.

According to those closest to him, Arne’s behaviour completely changed, as he would often experience fits of rage leading up to the days when he would go as far as to murder a man. Arne would plead not guilty, by reason of demonic possession - the first time this defence was ever used in the U.S. But would the courts believe his claims? Did demons really possess Arne Johnson or was he simply a violent killer?
