July 10 Pitching Problems Persist | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty & Tyler discuss all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, we discuss the latest stretch for the team, that has them sitting right at .500 with one more series against the Brewers before the All-Star break. The same warts continue to torment this ball club with Mitch Keller's dreadful season continuing and Don Kelly still searching for who he can even call upon out of the bullpen to trust to get outs. The usage of Carmen Mlodzinski has been the most mystifying part about the season. To highlight some good, we discuss Ryan O'Hearn's historic night and if Esmerlyn Valdez's hot streak is enough to send Marcell Ozuna packing when Oneil Cruz and Spencer Horwitz return.
Let's discuss all of this!

July 04 Will Dubas Land Jason Robertson? | Around The 412 Penguins Show
Welcome to the Around The 412 Penguins show, where Smitty & Tyler discuss the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Penguins.
On today's episode, I discuss what Kyle Dubas is up to. After a relatively active week of trades, free agency and the NHL Draft, where do things stand? Has Kyle Dubas committed to a direction for the club yet or is it all centered around his pursuit of Jason Robertson? There are logjams both on the right side of the blue line and within the forward group, so something has to give. What is Kyle Dubas cooking?

July 04 Paul Skenes Problem? | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty discusses all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, I discuss the latest stretch for the team, that has them sitting a game under .500 as of recording. The team has been perfectly constructed to be the most frustrating possible team. The offense is a top 5 unit in baseball, but they haven't had the pitching and that includes Paul Skenes and Mitch Keller not providing what you felt like they would coming into the season. That said, Esmerlyn Valdez and Endy Rodriguez have been silver linings and provide hope going forward.

June 26 Hope at Halfway Point? | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty discusses all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, I discuss the latest stretch for the team, that has them sitting at 41-40 halfway through their season. The same warts have continued to derail what could otherwise be a team very much separating itself from the middle of the pact. While the hitting has largely been well above average, they are well below average with RISP. The higher the leverage of the situation the team is in, the worse results we see returned. The team has been bit by the injury bug as of late too. From Ryan O'Hearn to Konnor Griffin to O'Neil Cruz to now Spencer Horwitz, we haven't seen a fully healthy Pirates group together.

June 26 Rust, Rakell Trade Coming? | Around The 412 Penguins Show
Welcome to the Around The 412 Penguins show, where Smitty & Tyler discuss the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Penguins.
On today's episode, I discuss what Kyle Dubas may have up his sleeve this weekend as the NHL Draft looms. We have seen a bunch of activity around the league, but could Rickard Rakell and/or Bryan Rust soon be on the move? The team did acquire Hendrix Lapierre from the Washington Capitals, does that spell the end of Noel Acciari's tenure and could it have an impact on Tommy Novak's availability as well? Is the team seriously considering a move for Darnell Nurse?Join me for another Around the 412 Penguins Show and let's discuss!

May 29 Pitching Staff Shakeup | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty & Tyler discusses all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, we discuss the recent stretch for the team, where it seems like they can't make up any ground and end every series right where they started. Jared Jones is back and rejoining the rotation. The odd man out? That would be Carmen Mlodzinski, who we learned (after recording) is none too pleased about shifting to a bullpen role. Is this the right move? Should Bubba Chandler have been the one taken out of the rotation? We then discuss the continued bullpen struggles, the offense being hot and cold and Konnor Griffin's injury.

May 23 OTA Headlines | Around The 412 Steelers Show
Smitty discusses all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today's episode, I discuss the team and Aaron Rodgers agreeing to a contract for the 2026 season and him being in the building to begin OTAs. Somebody that notoriously hates participating in this juncture of the offseason program, I think his involvement speaks volumes. What do I make of the battle behind him for QB2 with Will Howard and Mason Rudolph? Troy Fautanu and Mason McCormick will be flipping to the left side of the offensive line. While I have faith in that, there's still plenty of questions. Will we see more Germie Bernard or more Darnell Washington? That seems to be the trade off and history tells us, it's Bernard.

May 22 Reinforcements | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty discusses all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, I discuss the latest stretch for the Pirates and dive into if their recently recalled players can provide the necessary spark. The team was swept by their cross-state rival Philadelphia Phillies last weekend, in what was quite honestly a pathetic showing all around. The bullpen issues continue to persist, with there being hesitancy to trust anyone brought in. Wilber Dotel will get another crack to be a piece there, coming up for Isaac Mattson. Jhostynxon Garcia made his way up to Pittsburgh, with Ryan O'Hearn set to miss time. Esmerlyn Valdez will now be coming up, with Billy Cook heading to Indianapolis. The team currently sits at 26-24, can these moves spark a club looking to get out of the middle of the pact?

May 15 Skenes Reaching Another Level?
Smitty and Tyler discuss all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, we discuss the recent stretch for the Pirates that has them sitting at 24-20. They went 3-3 over the last week, dropping a series to the Giants on the road before coming back home and taking a series from the Rockies. While, it was an up and down week, something that hasn't been up and down is the performance of Paul Skenes. He has reached an entirely new level as of late. The issue has largely been getting the ball from the starter's hands to a reliever you trust to close the game out. Ben Cherington needs to act soon in regard to the bullpen.

May 14 Boswell Extension & Schedule Leaks
Smitty & Tyler discuss all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On today's episode, we discuss the team giving Chris Boswell a four-year extension and moving on from Cory Trice Jr. What do we make of those moves and could we see anyone else getting an extension this Summer? We then dive into what we know so far from the NFL schedule leaks as it relates to the Steelers and talk about why they still get so many primetime & standalone slots.
