March 12 Steelers Roster Taking Shape | Around The 412 Steelers Show
Smitty & Tyler discuss all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today's episode, we discuss the beginning of NFL free agency. The Steelers got to work checking some boxes. They acquired Michael Pittman Jr. in a trade with the Colts to finally fill their WR2 vacancy. They signed Jamel Dean, coming off of a career season to play opposite of Joey Porter Jr. and fill the vacancy left by James Pierre's departure. With Kenneth Gainwell off to Tampa Bay, the team signed RB Rico Dowdle coming off a second consecutive 1,300-yard season. They also brought in Darnell Savage as safety depth. One thing we didn't mention? QB. I suppose it's the waiting on Aaron Rodgers game for a second consecutive season.

March 07 Active in Free Agency? | Around The 412 Steelers Show
Smitty & Tyler discuss all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today's episode, we discuss the looming free agency period and how active we think the Steelers are going to be. Will we know what is happening with Aaron Rodgers early into free agency or play the waiting game yet again? How will the team start to fill out the wide receiver room? Could they turn to free agency to replace Isaac Seumalo, Kenny Gainwell or a piece in the secondary? What did we make of Aaron Rodgers appearance on the Pat McAfee show?

March 06 Spring Training Battles Heating Up! | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty and Tyler discuss all things Pittsburgh Pirates
On today's episode, we discuss the growing battles at spring training which are few and far between. With the team being in a better shape roster wise, there are less spots open. The 5th spot in the rotation battle is a fun one though. Hunter Barco, Jose Urquidy, Mike Clevinger and Carmen Mlodzinski all have made their case to be the first guy to get a crack. Meanwhile, while Jake Mangum and Jhostynxon Garcia continue to impress, the question is, does enough work exist to keep Garcia with the big club?

March 05 Trade Deadline Looms | Around The 412 Penguins Show
Welcome to the Around The 412 Penguins show, where Smitty & Tyler discuss the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Penguins.
On today's episode, we discuss the upcoming NHL Trade Deadline and what the Penguins will do. Will they stand pat? Will they take a big swing for now and the future or will they put a short-term band aid on their issues? Their woes in the faceoff dot can't continue at the rate they have, and Kyle Dubas' approach will tell us a lot about how he feels in the short and long term.

February 25 Griffin Hype Growing | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty and Tyler discuss all things Pittsburgh Pirates
Spring Training is underway and Konnor Griffin certainly isn't doing anything to slow down the hype train. With 2 monster home runs on Tuesday, the fever pitch is hitting a new high and as we said...it's going to be hard to justify him not being on the Opening Day roster. Nick Gonzales, Jake Mangum, Endy Rodriguez and Bryan Reynolds continue to impress this spring too. Is Spencer Horwitz a forgotten man on this club? Could Joey Bart provide the team an option at 1B to platoon with Horwitz?

February 22 Want Rodgers Back? | Around The 412 Steelers Show
Smitty & Tyler discuss all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today's episode, we discuss the Aaron Rogers "timeline" and if we want the Steelers to be as patient about the process as they were last year. We also discuss where we would rank Rodgers among the possible options. What FA WRs are in play for the Steelers and who offers them the best bang for their buck at the position? Could Jaquan Brisker be in play for the team, depending on what the future holds for Jalen Ramsey?

February 21 Spring Training Storylines | Around The 412 Pirates Show
Smitty and Tyler discuss all things Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are about to kick off their Spring Training schedule and we are fired up! Probably more than we have been at this exact stage in quite some time. What and who are we most excited to see? The obvious storyline to watch is if Konnor Griffin will actually push to make the Major League roster. Will he be given a legit opportunity to do so? Will they still add to the rotation and/or at 3B? What is the most concerning thing about their offseason approach?

February 12 Staff Taking Shape | Around The 412 Steelers Show
Smitty & Tyler discuss all the latest surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On today's episode, Smitty discusses the staff that Mike McCarthy is building. While we have no clue how things are going to work out with this group, it's nice to see the actions match the words of Mike McCarthy. He is blending youth and experience when building this staff, as he said he would. We are seeing coaches given titles that we haven't seen the team have in the past. This is a major shift for the organization.

February 11 Ozuna In, Cutch Out? | Around The 412 Pirates Show
The Pittsburgh Pirates landed another big bat in the form of FA DH Marcell Ozuna. While the #1 priority for this team has been and should've been about finding offense, did they overcorrect? This will likely force Ryan O'Hearn into the field and with Spencer Horwitz the incumbent 1B, O'Hearn may have to play OF, where his numbers are very poor. It also seemingly closes the door on an Andrew McCutchen reunion, as once again...there just aren't enough at-bats to go around, especially for guys who can't play anywhere in the field. What does Smitty make of all of this, and does he think they're done? Let's discuss!
