Basements are a regional thing but if you have one lets talk about how to build it out and keep it dry. You can make some big mistakes that can happen if you just head down and finish it out.

What are some of the causes of a flooded basement? You might be surprised that many times it has nothing to do with even how that basement was constructed. Many times you can walk around the outside of your home and predict what will happen down in that basement.

5:37 If you want to see how porous your concrete is.

7:10 We will talk about the leading cause of a flooded basement

12:58 What happens when you are a renter?

20:45 What kind of basements are there? Or crawlspaces?

32:38 What types of utility connections do you need to take into account.

We have a lot going on this week with the International Trade Commission penalizing Chinese cabinetry with an average of 60% tariff for five years and some companies having to pay as high as 269% in duties. This will change the face of cabinetry for the lower end products for a while. Lets also discuss how Washington State just ruled last night that nearly all construction is considered non-essential and how that is now shut down as of this morning.
