  • The Daily Mess They're Not Coming They're Here

    June 13, 2023

I remember sharing a message about the future of broadcasting at a

lecture in 2012 on how being just an on air wasn’t going to be enough for
companies.  The talent would be expected
to do daily or weekly shows called podcasts.
I was creating with the nation’s biggest broadcast company.  In a meeting after the lecture they told me, “We
    don’t know what you’re doing.  Don’t
stop.  The rest of us will catch up.”  Last night… Eleven years later at a lecture
with future broadcasters I asked those in attendance what their goals and
    ambitions were.  The typical, sports
announcers, producers, performers and whatever else they assume the industry is
about.  I got real, “You need to put your
focus on becoming part of AI technology.
Everything you’ve shared with me is something AI’s can do.  They aren’t coming.  They’re here.”  A fellow broadcaster of many years got word
of my lecture and message and he said, “Calm down.  AI’s are a fad.  The government will create rules that will
keep AI’s under control.”  Dear future
self, never lose this page in personal history.

  • Streaming Thinking Letting Go

The days expectations are colliding. Schedules are being rewritten and workplace bosses are frowning. You knew what I was when you picked me up. I get a lot done while at the same time I'm disappointed when spotting friends and family posting vacating fun times. What's it like to job off the job circuit into a giant pool of fun. Turning off the heart's passion to be busy at work is nothing more than a thought. Learning how to work through the mental storms we generate because working is the vacation experience.

  • Hasard Lee Releases The Book The Art Of Clear Thinking

One of the top fighter pilots in the world teaches readers to make clear decisions in everyday life.

Hasard Lee is arguably the top fighter pilot in the US Air Force.

    Lee flies the F-35 joint

strike stealth fighter, the most advanced (and expensive) fighter jet in
the world. Pushing a cutting-edge fighter jet to its limits at almost
twice the speed of sound means you have to perform at the very top
of your game, and every split-second decision you make has potentially
catastrophic consequences. For the vast majority of people, they'll
never have to make those types of decisions with life and death hanging
in the balance. Even if most of the decisions
we make don't have quite that much drama, we still have myriad choices
and game plans in our lives. Hasard Lee has taken what he's learned
about decision-making from his years in the Air Force as an elite
fighter pilot and pilot instructor, and applied it
to the real world in his new book, THE ART OF CLEAR THINKING: A Stealth Fighter Pilot's Timeless Rules for Making Tough Decisions (St.
    Martin's Press, on sale date 5/23/23, $29.99).

    In THE

ART OF CLEAR THINKING, Hasard distills what he's learned from his
amazing career and compellingly and accessibly makes it applicable to
    the
general readership. In his book he presents the ACE Helix - Assess,
    Choose, Execute - a three-part decision-making foundation that anyone
can use, whether it's managing a team, developing a product for the
marketplace or calming a boisterous family situation.
Why a "helix" and not a loop as a graphed strategy? Hasard has found
that decisions are dynamic, with side effects that rarely end up at the
point they started. A decision framework needs to adapt. When graphed
over time, this forms a helix.

  • The Daily Mess A Solution Is Only A Step

    June 12, 2023

I enjoy the atmosphere of multiple generations and nations.  Being a radio guy of 44 years doesn’t make me

a great people person.  I learned that
quickly in 2020 when accepting a position at a grocery store.  While the world was locking down, I was planting
myself in a position of human requirement.
The lessons are endless.  I’ve experienced
other people’s emotions as well as lies.
Some moments are shocking and others are written off as didn’t need to
see that.  Not worth the weight in my heart.  So much experience in the public and it
    started with telling myself yes.
