It's the second Thursday of the month and that means a great conversation with friend and and now-former colleague Andrew Moss regarding the tools that we developed together as I was training to solo hike across northern England in 2023.This one's about the tool that is really behind all the other tools: “I am not my thoughts.”In today's conversation you'll hear about how this idea has shaped each of our lives and how differently it has shown up for each of us. It's really a podcast within a podcast!In these "Waking up: The Tools” conversations Andrew and I discuss the essential tools we developed that helped me transform my experience and grow into the person who hiked all by myself across northern England in 2023… After needing a wheelchair to go more than a few steps in 2011.FYI My hike was taking place exactly 2 years ago right now! To celebrate I am reading from my memoir, Waking Up, throughout May in a series of Instagram lives which you can access here.

It was within her household that she learned the significance of effective communication and how it could dictate the course of a person’s life and livelihood.”

Katrina shares with us what it's like to found an entire school within a university, how it all came about, and where this journey began for her. It goes deep and gets back to who Katrina is as a person and the importance she sees in fostering human communication.

What I’m Up To

Instagram Live Storytime throughout MayMay 1, 2023 was the day I got on an airplane and flew to England to begin my solo cross-country hike of the Coast to Coast path! Happy April friends! As you'll hear I am creating quite a bit this month, all very joyful and thankfully I have given myself the time and space to do this from a full cup.

Hello friends! I hope March is starting off very well for you! What are you up to creatively?I see that I have been feeling better by creating.Late last year I decided to spend at least one hour per day in what I think of as "creative enjoyment." This is everything from taking a walk or hike – or over the last week or so, getting out to go skiing where I'm staying with my parents in the Colorado Rockies – to creating art, writing, making fun stuff!

The rule has been that it's not about consuming somebody else's creations. It's about doing something creative from a place of enjoyment.

And I feel like that's kind of what we do here, right? I share out some information and I would love for that to be available for everyone who would like to read or watch it or listen to it.
