  • AALP 223 – Writing and Publishing Your Book with Two Sisters Publishing

My guests for Episode 223 are Catherine Greenspan and Elizabeth Atkins who together run Two Sisters Writing and Publishing.

We’re discussing the process of writing and publishing your book and what you need to know to make it a success.  Elizabeth and Catherine have both published several books of their own, as well as, ghost written books for many illuminaries.  Their experience has been invaluable to me as I considered the process of self-publishing my new book and I couldn’t hope for two more knowledgeable and heart centered mentors to help all of us navigate these waters.  Enjoy!

    More about Elizabeth:

Elizabeth is a best-selling author, actress, TV host and award-winning journalist who uses a multimedia platform to inspire people to unlock their infinite potential and live with passion, prosperity, health and happiness. Elizabeth’s desire to empower others springs from a trailblazing matrix of colorblind love and courage from her mother, an African American and Italian judge, and her father, a former Roman Catholic priest who was English, French Canadian and Cherokee.  They taught her to challenge the status quo by writing innovative ideas to edutain people.

    More about Catherine:

Catherine holds a Master of Arts degree in Writing from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan.

    7. AALP 220 – The Mindful Millionaire with Leisa Peterson

It is common to think that life is like a finite pie where there is never enough to go around.

      This is not true.

Instead we live in an abundant world where anything is possible as long as you can dream it, innovate it and create it. Creating wealth and abundance is about noticing that we have infinite potential to create the life of our dreams.  I’ll also state that this doesn’t just magically happen because we sit around and think wonderful thoughts all day long.

      Nope.

Wealth happens because we apply ourselves to the opportunities surrounding us and we bring things into reality — like building a business, saving money and investing our resources so they can continue to grow and expand.

You don’t have to have money to make money, but you do need wisdom and you need to recognize and invest the capital you do have — that includes your mental capital, your relationship capital, your health capital and from there you need to apply yourself to achieving your goals.

No one ever ends up shrinking their way to wealth — they create it.

If you haven’t created it for yourself as of yet, today is the perfect day to get started

“The greatest reward in becoming a millionaire is not the amount of money that you earn. It is the kind of person that you have to become to become a millionaire.” ~Jim Rohn

In today’s podcast I am sharing about my own journey to creating a life of prosperity.

I’ve spent the past several years researching, developing and chronicling a system that teaches us how to embrace authentic responsibility for our own financial and spiritual wellness and how that relates to living prosperously.  This pathway is the core focus of my upcoming book, The Mindful Millionaire.  It reveals the mechanics shaping the way we feel about life and our money.  It teaches us how we can create our experiences in ways that empowers us to respond consciously to every opportunity and every facet of life.  Through this we learn how to embrace our own wholeness, completeness and abundance.

Joining me for a heartfelt conversation about her own journey through this work is my client and friend, Jenny Joy.  Jenny beautifully shares what she’s learned about herself and her own potential for greatness.  What she shares is profoundly inspiring as it reveals that no matter where we find ourselves in life, there is always the opportunity to experience infinite joy, happiness and abundance.

      XOXO, Leisa

    10. AALP 218 – Creating Your New Reality with Nanci Danison

Back for the second time on the show is author, Nanci Danison.  Nanci is sharing what it really means to create a new reality for your life going forward.  After experiencing an extensive afterlife experience, which followed her “death” during surgery in 1994, Nanci began to devote her time disseminating the spiritual information she had learned within the afterlife.

Nothing she experienced or learned in the afterlife confirmed any of her former religious beliefs, the human origin of which she witnessed in the form of a documentary-type review of Earth history. In its place, she was given a much simpler, kinder, more loving (but completely unlike human thinking) explanation of God/Source and its purpose for creating the universe. During her afterlife experience, she accessed Universal Knowledge (Source’s knowledge) to answer her questions about who she is, who God is, where heaven and hell are, the purpose of life, why we’re here on Earth, and what the one true religion is.

Since then, Nanci has written 5 books about her experiences in the afterlife, including  “BACKWARDS: Returning to Our Source for Answers,” “BACKWARDS Guidebook,” BACKWARDS Beliefs: Revealing Eternal Truths Hidden in Religions,” “Answers From The Afterlife,” and “Create a New Reality–Move Beyond Law of Attraction Theory”

      In Nanci’s words:

I died March 14, 1994, at the age of 43, but voluntarily returned to human life to share what I could remember of the wonders I experienced and truths I learned in the afterlife. At the time of my death, I had been an attorney practicing law in a 270 attorney regional law firm for 17 years as a litigator in the labor and employment law areas, and as a transactional and health care fraud defense lawyer in the health law field. I brought my training and skills as a trial lawyer to the evidence I encountered and challenged within the afterlife.

Before retirement, I was a practicing health lawyer and former litigator for 36 years, first with a prestigious, Midwestern 270-attorney regional law firm, and then as a solo practitioner. I was listed from 1998-2018 in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, a listing of the 5% of U.S. attorneys voted by their peers to have “A” level legal skills and very high ethics. I was also named one of Central Ohio’s “Top Lawyers” for 2009-2018 in the practice areas of Medicare/Medicaid law and health care law by Columbus CEO Magazine. In 1998, I was listed in Who’s Who in American Law for recognized leadership and competency.

    13. AALP 213 – Podcasting Your Way to Abundance with David Ralph

I first met today’s guest, David Ralph, in 2015 when he had me on his podcast, Join Up Dots.  It was a great experience as it was the first time I had been interviewed for a podcast and David was very interested in my journey of leaving the corporate world to start my own company.  His response helped me see the value of sharing my story that has now been incorporated into my new book, iPROSPER.  I can honestly say that meeting David and learning from him has been a huge highlight of my entrepreneurial journey — it is an honor to have him back on the show.

David has a great story of his own — he also had to find the courage to leave the corporate world where he had been working for over 20 years as a trainer to start his podcast which now has had over 3,000,000 downloads.

During today’s conversation, you’ll be hearing about what happened when David’s podcast really took off and how it eventually led him down the path of burnout.  Realizing that it was time to make some big changes, David took stock in what was most important and began restructuring his business in support of his life and his family.  I am sure you’ll relate on so many levels to what he is sharing, plus you get to listen to David’s unique and ever charming way of telling stories.
