A poor Brahimin seeks help from Goddess Durga who implores Lord Shiva to give him some gift by which he can survive. He is gifted a magic handi which has the powers to pour out endless mudkis when upturned and shaken. The handi is stolen and the poor brahmin once again seeks favour. this time, instead of mudkis, the handi produces demons and devils who without any alarm  beat up who ever they see. Story of Opium -  A mouse who keeps a sage's company asks for boons to change itself into different animals: cat, dog, ape, wild boar, elephant and finally, into a queen when it falls into a well and dies. What grows from the soil under which she is buried is an opium plant. Opium which heals and also intoxicates.
