Do we trust the Billionaire Warren Buffet or do we trust Donald Trump? We don't understand much beyond student loans so we have to look to leaders like Keaunu Reeves to form our opinions. When the common population, even those with a "higher education" have very little concept of how our resource distribution system functions, it makes that population ripe for exploitation, for manipulation. But the art pros don't care about that, we just want to paint pretty pictures...all the way until our government forces us into our universal-basic-5'x5' windowless boxes, eating soylent, and never accumulating resources and influence in order to have a say in the function of our society...Right? Benjamin L.M. is an Australian artist, and this episode's guest. He loves the classics ,most people who have studied art in school have thought about, Cezanne, Gauguin, Picasso, and Van Gogh among others. The thing that makes him so exciting is that he didn't study art, he grabbed art-making by the horns after seeing a traveling show and discovering that paintings in real life are actually alot cooler than how they look in books. He became infatuated with art 14 years ago, and now nearing the middle of his life, is expressing himself through any outlet he can; fashion collections, painting, books, music, and now PODCASTS! The Art Pros Podcast is Live with Hannah and Jeff of The Fountain Institute. Master educators, expert designers, and contemporary meme crafters, the Fountain Institute brings to the table a wealth of knowledge. Hannah joined all the way from Germany, while Jeff, stuck in Texas (pretty much a different nation), hopped on the mic as well. Somehow, Gage and Renz were able to trick them into this free consultation webinar. This week the art pros and The Fountain Institute share insight on remote learning, the divergence of art and design, what even is a designer, and the most important question of all, is Jerry Saltz actually a decent guy? Is it more important to think creatively or know hard skills in the Art world? Being on the Art Pros is almost like giving a talk at SXSW...right? The Fountain Institute was all about decentralized learning before it was cool, and they have a little bone to pick with scammy master classes. If you thought your webcam college class on crocheting was "actually kind of decent" you will find this episode of the Art pros to at least be that decent too.

This week, the Art Pros talk about the CARE act and how you may actually qualify for unemployment benefits. Things get out of control quickly as Renz starts to lose his noodles due to an apparent quarantine overdose. Gage does his best to help his dear co-host recover but the adverse effects of quarantine have gotten the best of him as well. In an incredible turn of events, Gage snaps back to reality and finishes the pod off strong, delivering the content we artists need to get paid or die trying. How can we unite with our tax credits to take down the Big Bad Business Boys? Can a ten million dollar gallery show shift the narrative of our economic future? This week, the Art Pros have discovered how to podcast remotely since we are both believers of the Stay at Home movement. Our priority will always be to promote the safety and well being of you, your fam, your partna’ and your squad. With that said, we decided to focus this week’s topic on how Covid-19 is affecting all of us, especially the art world because sometimes you just need to get it out of your system. With our technological savvy put to the test, the Art Pros pushed forth with gripping discussions on the term “China Virus,” tips on working remotely as Art Professionals, quarantine culture and contagion in general. This episode covers many bases and we hope at the very least that you can enjoy it enough to distract you from the coronavirus. Just be mindful not to laugh so hard that coffee bursts out of your nose because you may end up coughing, too and THAT is a huge faux pas these days.
