Lori La Bey the host of Alzheimer's Speaks Radio will talk with Jael Weinberg, an Art Therapist who incorporates the creative process in many forms into her therapeutic work with residents at Aegis Living’s all memory care community, Callahan House. Today we will learn what art therapy is, how it is different from the typical arts and crafts and what the benefits are from art therapy. I think you will learn a few new things that might change your perspective of art being used as a form of therapy. We will discuss groups sessions to one on ones, how emotions are released and created, as well as how energy levels can be adjusted all while building confidence and social engagement.
