And we’re back with a new season of ARTifacts! To start the new year, Marisa talks with dancers, artists, self-starters, and activists Maria Blanco and Yariana Baralt Torres! We chat about their Chicago dance organization LOUD BODIES and discuss their mission of promoting social activism, representation, and collaboration through dance. They look back on their previous works and answer some rapid fire questions. Maria and Yariana also share their upcoming project where they will commission choreographers to create a new social justice based work alongside a local, non-profit organization. You can apply now and donate to LOUD BODIES on their website at loudbodiesdance.com.
