A major ruling from the Supreme Court has brought an end to nationwide injunctions by district judges and could unblock many of the orders by President Donald Trump facing challenges, including his order ending automatic birthright citizenship. In a 6–3 opinion, the justices have determined that nationwide injunctions are not legal unless they’re done through class action lawsuits. This means that all of Trump’s executive orders that had been blocked by district judges are free to progress forward.
