  • The Story of Metal Bandcamp Gift Club

YES!!! #metalbandcampgiftclub is one of the biggest things on the twits right now, but what the heck is it? I'm proud to say that we have the very first meeting of the minds that thought this thing up. Jeremiah Nelson and Zach Goldsmith (Manny-O-War) join the story with the amazing story of this past week. It never ceases to amaze me how much generosity there is out there. Enjoy this story! We LOVE you. Take care. Bye-bye.

        • ONWARD TO 2016 PARTYCAST

Oh boy. Stephen is pissed. We decided to hop on and just hang out. Turns out, I caught Stephen in a sour mood about the Tourniquet "Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance" vinyl release. This is one of the funniest rants we've ever done. Grab a drink (we did) and listen to us discuss what we got for Christmas, Lemmy, our heroes dying and we cover every single album released in 2015...pretty much. This is a straight up "ring in the new year" partycast with 42 music clips. ONWARD TO 2016!

            • Jimmy Brown of Deliverance, Jupiter VI (Part Two)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the second half of the Jimmy Brown chapter! Jimmy P Brown II of Deliverance and his new project Jupiter VI has A LOT to say on this half. We had to ask numerous times "is that ok to leave in?" Jimmy was gracious enough to spill his guts and give us one of the more intimate interviews he has ever done. Please listen and appreciate where this man is coming from. He talks about some very personal stuff for the very first time such as drug abuse, alcoholism and why he has been "done" with Deliverance for a decade. Only the best for our listeners.

                      • Tymon Kruidenier of Our Oceans, Exivious (Cynic)

Tymon Kruidenier is the former guitarist of legendary metal band Cynic. I could just stop right there. But I won't. Tymon was nice enough to take some time to tell us all about joining Cynic, starting his instrumental band Exivious and his new project Our Oceans. Tymon sings for the first time in Our Oceans and he tells us how that decision came to be. Tymon Kruidenier also tells us why he decided it was time to move on from Cynic. Trav then introduces "douche-chills" to Holland. We get pretty deep about how to manage emotions in music which is an interesting topic I've always wanted to discuss with someone. Consequently, Tymon admits that this was the most "interesting and more personal" interview he has ever done and that makes us very proud. This podcast is about making connections with artists we don't know and getting to know them in front of the listener. Take that, nay-sayers.

                                • Mike Mowery of Outerloop Management

Mike Mowery of Outerloop Management is crazy busy. On top of Outerloop Management and it's sister label Outerloop Records, he runs an EDM label called Crime Kitchen. As if he isn't busy enough, he just launched Jabber Jaw Media, a new podcasting media network with a few Bad Christian guys. To think...this all started as Mike Mowery...former bassist of Good Clean Fun.

So yeah, Mike Mowery has done it all. Magic Mike Mowery was nice enough to squeeze in some time on his trip to Boston to talk to us about it all. GCF, touring with Refused, Snapcase, veganism, being straight-edge then non-straight-edge, soft tickets vs hard tickets, bumper cars...it's a longer chapter, but stick around to the end to hear some playful end of podcast chit-chat layered over some killer dub. (I'm not even sure what I just said...)

Lemmy stories!), fishing and crabbing and machine shops and simpler life.

And...oh my God...Bobcat Goldthwait possesses Christopher Debari and channels himself onto our show.

Award winning metal producer Joey Sturgis talks about coffee. Yeah he opens with coffee! Joey discusses his humble beginnings and tracking down The Devil Wears Prada for his early gigs. His discography includes pretty much everybody who's put out a metal album since 2008. There is some inspiring stuff in here. Joey gives a lot of perspective about what he believes the future of the music business will entail, which includes Apple Music and signing youtube artists. But in the end, Joey Sturgis is just a waiter.

Stephen and Trav open up with a funny story about Trav embarrassing himself at work due to this podcast. It is "last call" on the upcoming Timothy Henderson Warlord comp. We introduce a new band called "The Wolf And The Epitaph" from Canada. So much metal up in this. Peace.

Jeff Bettger (aka Jeff Suffering) has told his story many times, but never with such As The Story Grows swagger. Jeff Suffering Bettger is getting some punk rock back into this story. J Suffering discusses a little more of the Mark Driscoll and Mars Hill Church and surviving a cult stuff, the "raft of dead monkeys" title origin story, Jeff Bettger's unique way of creating and releasing new music and Jeff recants his embarrassment for old Ninety Pound Wuss.
