Let me tell you a story. A story about the life of stars. They can live for billions of years and in their lifetime, boy do they shine. ⭐️ 🌟
They glow during the day, but we can't see them because of the glare of sunlight. However, if you were standing on the moon where there is no atmosphere, you would see the stars both day and night.
So that means that even though, the clouds and the sun block them, they are always there. ⛅️ In fact, they shine brightest in the dark. 🌌
Now let’s talk about you and why you’re a star. Did you know that you can shine if you refuse to dampen your light? 🏋🏾♂️🏋🏿♀️💃🏽🕺🏾Conventional wisdom says you must wait for others to call you a star before you declare yourself one but If you want to be exceptional then by definition, being exceptional requires you to be an exception to the rule. Star in your life before someone else demotes you to a recurring cast member.
Just as a star lives up in the sky, live in the sky. Just as it holds itself together by the force of its own gravity, hold yourself together by the force of your identity.
Just as it shines every day without fail even when we don't see it, show up everyday even when no one is watching.
Just as it shines brightly in the dark, step into your lowest moments confidently knowing you have an opportunity to grow.
Steve Jobs once said your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

Today's interview is with Jorgen Sundberg. As a recruiter in 2003, Jorgen caught the early wave of digital marketing and tested many talent attraction tactics. Some failed, some didn’t, so for years. He kept updating and testing strategies while managing hiring campaigns for giants like IBM, Accenture, SAP, and Deloitte.
By late 2009, he thought he had enough proof: when social media communicated an uncommon employer brand = talent attraction improved.
Yet repeatedly he saw employer brands play safe.
Timid, decaf company missions – hung in corporate offices with words like innovation, cutting-edge, passion, and stakeholder. *yawn* As charming as a poor chap that tries to be liked by everyone.
Over time, a question took shape in his mind:
How might a well-crafted employer brand affect talent attraction if you aren’t a market leader?
This question continued to take shape over time and in late 2009, he quit his job to start Link Humans.
In this episode, we discuss:

One of the most common challenges I have noticed while working with aspiring thought leaders and change makers is that a lot of them struggle with ways to position themselves as experts or the go-to people in their field of interest.
In fact, the number one question I get asked is this:
"What is the best way to communicate to my potential clients and the world that I am a subject matter expert in XXX?"
Essentially, they want to know how they can translate their expertise in a way that demonstrates trust and leads to a following.
So I recently asked Josue Peña, a growth expert who has a 200 million follower network this same question when I interviewed him for Thought Leader Academy (https://www.thoughtleaderprogram.com/courses/membership) and here's what he said:
I explain further in this episode.

Today's interview is with Mark Fowler. Mark is the president of Stowe Management Corporation, and a business re-engineering specialist. Deficiencies in the way we communicate and increasingly divisive rhetoric espoused by our local and national leaders has seeped into our professional environments.
He is on a mission to create business environments that embody a culture of peace. Alongside Barbara Gaughen-Muller, Fowler developed a program, Revolutionary Conversations, to improve the quality of workplace interactions in order to help improve not only the peaceful culture of a business but also its bottom line. The methodology taught by Fowler and Gaughen-Muller can be used to overcome some of today’s most difficult business problems, including improving hiring and training, promoting employee engagement, reducing workplace harassment and bullying, uniting a group around a common purpose, and anything else that requires interaction for superior success.
We talk about how to encourage productive, peaceful communications between businesses and internally.
