Welcome to Episode #5 as the case intensifies.    

13 year old Robert Bee, AKA Bonzai's death is still shrouded in mystery as the crew of Ashes to Ash TV investigate this cold case in Pekin, Illinois.    

Pictures are sent to Ash of items that were found off a tip given to Trucks 4 Kids.  These items include a pillow case, balaclava, a possible jaw bone, vertebrae, sock, gloves, tote lid, and a red/grey sweater.  The team starts really looking into these items and the images, to see if they have a connection to the Bonzai case. 

The culpability of DCFS is also thrown into the mix.  The team speaks to an individual who works with the Central Illinois DCFS and foster care system.  We also hear from friends and acquaintances who have information regarding DCFS and how they allowed Bonzai to slip through the cracks.    

Koehl and Ash continue their investigation into a case that gets more confounding as they uncover more information.

Here is the release of the audio version of Episode #4, "Found."  

This is the story of the murder of 13 year old Robert Bee, aka Bonzai in Pekin, Illinois.  

The Ashes to Ash team are investigating this in real time.  So we put each episode together after getting tips from the community.  We investigate these tips, and we see what validity they carry.  Then we release an episode on our findings.  We also release an episode of the video documentary series every other Monday on YouTube and FaceBook.

In episode four we looking into the claim that Trucks 4 Kids found items that could potentially be linked to the disappearance of Bonzai.  These items were found a mere day before the skeleton was discovered on land in Tazwell County.  Were these items connected, do these items correlate with Bonzai's murder, or is this a red herring? We also start to look into the people who were around Lisa and Bonzai at the time of his disappearance.  Who were these people and could they have been involved?

This is episode 3, season 1 of Ashes To Ash TV, True Crime Series.  

This season is about the Disappearance of Bonzai.  Robert Bee, aka Bonzai was a thirteen year old boy who went missing in Pekin, Illinois in November of 2016.  

As the night set on the first official day he was missing, the community banded together, to start looking for this little boy. There were false sightings, unanswered questions, and tips not followed up on, but the community continued to look.  The people of Pekin searched even despite requests from law enforcement to stop the searches. Tips poured in as family, friends, and concerned citizens continued to hold vigil, pray, and look for the missing teen. One of the tips that came in, was in regards to potential evidence and in a secondary location.  

Journey as the team continues the search for answers.

This is episode #2 of the Ashes To Ash TV Series:  The Disappearance of Robert Bee.    Robert Bee, aka Bonzai is a 13 year old boy who went missing in the quaint town of Pekin, Illinois in November of 2016.  His remains were discovered 8 months later.    

Currently the case is open and unsolved.    Our mission is to get answers.  We are investigating this in real time.  That means that we post episodes and get tips from the public, we investigate those tips and post episodes on it.  Our goal is that hopefully one of these tips will get us to the answers the community so desperately needs.  

We are releasing a video series every other week.  The 2nd podcast episode originally released on December 9th, 2019.  The 3rd episode releases on December 23rd, 2019.  We are also releasing a video true crime series that mirrors the podcast, it is the exact same content, but made for video, so once in a while we add in audio references, so that the podcast makes sense from a non-visual platform.  The corresponding podcast comes out the week after the video series is released.  So episode 2 of the audio podcast will come out on the 9th of December, 2019.   If you have information about this case that you'd like to share with us, please message us via email [email protected].  No tip or detail is too small, so please reach out if you have any information you believe might be helpful.  If you know of illegal activity please contact your local police department.  Please share this content, the more people who know about this the better the chances we have of getting answers!

Robert Bee, AKA Bonzai was a 13 year old boy who went missing in November of 2016 in the small town of Pekin, Illinois.  His body was found 8 months later in Rural Tazewell County.  

We are a group of filmmakers and investigators looking into this case.   We are creating a podcast and video series that delves into the investigation and what happened to Robert.  We will post a new episode involving this investigation every two weeks.
