What came next would be seared into Scott's mind forever. Before him was the smoldering burn pit, and what he had in his hand, he later learned, was part of his fathers face and jaw. In 2018, Gary Farris was a successful commercial real estate attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. He shared a sprawling home in Alpharetta with his wife of 38 years. Their four adult children enjoyed the benefits of having a father in such a lucrative field of work. But lurking within the walls of the 8,000 square foot home, was growing tension. Gary's CPAP machine was not the only reason he lived on a separate floor than his wife, Melody.
