On Win's Women of Wisdom today, Best-Selling Author, Win Kelly Charles welcomes Kathy Jones. Kathy resides in Asheville, NC and began her adult career as a scientist but quickly evolved into an entrepreneur. After receiving a bio-science degree and working in the field of microbiology, Kathy transitioned in the late 1980’s into the world of health and opened the first organic restaurant in the state of Iowa. Because of their love of skiing and adventurous spirit, she and her husband moved to the Colorado Mountains and purchased a small natural foods store. Her scientific background led her to research the best health products in the market and her love of food and cooking helped her to create a renowned organic catering company. The store soon became very successful, expandedand quadrupled in space. Entrepreneurship so resonated with Kathy that she sold the store and her pursuits led to being instrumental in the launching of two nutritional companies. She has written many articles on health and has been featured on radio shows. Kathy’s passion is to continually empower women to reach their potential. She has created a group called Women, Wealth and Wisdom. It is an evolving group of like- minded women who realize that wealth has many facets; from a wealth of health to a wealth of learning. Kathy’s philosophy is that by improving oneself through continually learning and evolving we can truly change the world, one person at a time - starting with ourselves. Kathy is an avid gardener, healthy chef, public speaker and trainer. She and her husband enjoy hiking with their two small dogs, Maggie and Snowdog. Thanks to her adventurous spirit, entrepreneurship, and home-based online business, she and her husband were ableto move to the mountains of Panama for 15 months, one of the happiest countries in the world! Being lovers of clean mountain environments, they have now moved to the mountains of Asheville, NC.
