Some fitness professionals argue that you should give up your focus on physical appearance and instead learn to appreciate your body. I agree with some of that sentiment. I think too many people tie their self-worth to their appearance and get caught up in the idea of a “perfect” or “ideal” body that, in reality, doesn’t exist. That kind of thinking can lead to unhealthy and obsessive behaviors. On the other hand, my job as a trainer is to help you get the results you want. I’m not here to tell you how you should feel or what you should want.
