Dr. Phlox is in charge of the ship while it travels through a Big Scary Space Thing, with only T'Pol and Porthos for company.  T'Pol is definitely real, just like the chef, and this plot is definitely unique in Star Trek history.  At least there's lots of dog!

Is this the least inspired episode of Star Trek we've ever seen?  No, but only because TNG did an actual clip show one time.  The NX-01 crew hang out on a Wild West set full of stereotypes and confused metaphors.  Our baby, who is a more creative writer than the ones for this episode, chimes in with his opinion.
