“At the Edge of it All” was joined by Alan Gin, associate professor of economics, to talk about all the factors that go into forecasting the economy. He talks about all the different ways the pandemic threw the global economy out of wack, the state of our nation’s economy now, and what he does as an economist at USD.

USD peace studies professor Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick joined “At the Edge of It All” and explained how he uses his position on a university campus to push boundaries and explore new ideas through interdisciplinary collaborations. He also discusses how, as we see negative things happening in the world around us, we can gain some perspective and take steps to make positive change.

Dr. Imane Khalil, Associate Dean of Graduate Engineering Programs at USD, joined "At the Edge of it All" to discuss her cutting-edge career. She talks about how she helped develop a Mars rover, why she left that position to pursue teaching, and how she's creating a brand new curriculum for the engineers of the future.

Also, amid a teacher shortage across California, he explains why he's hopeful that others will follow in his footsteps.
