At The Elephants with Rob Morris episodes

  • Andrew Hollinger (Drama '18)

One of the youngest cats at The Elephants so far, Mr. Andrew Hollinger stopped by to talk Texas, UIL One Act, being at the School of Drama as it transitioned out of Gerald Freedman's legacy and what brought him to Los Angeles to make people laugh. Really enjoyed getting to know this dude who could not be a nicer fella. Don't miss it!

  • Gus Heagarty (Drama '10)

Gus Heagarty is delightful. First, go follow him on stuff because he's hilarious and his content lately is a much needed break from scrolling nothingness. We got into his roots in NorCal, his "choice" to major in directing at UNCSA, the magic of self discovery and of course we dove into our relationship with Gerald Freedman as his last directing students and how we ended up where are. Don't miss it!

  • Josh Brocki (Drama '10)

JOSH BROCKI is in the house baby or at least in his apartment in NY virtually at The Elephants today. He didn't kill the cat, it died of malnutrition; don't get it twisted. Lead singer of NightSpins, playwright, actor, and all-around cool guy Josh Brocki shares his upbringing in North Carolina. Born into an artist family--Josh hit the high school program and then the college dram program before embarking on a wild journey through the New York City night club scene. We talk cigarettes on porches and live adult parties at THE BOX; most importantly the path from one to the other. Don't miss this one!

  • Brandon Tyler Harris (Drama '10)

My very best friend in the world that is not my wife is named Brandon Tyler Harris and today he is on At The Elephants for the very first time. Brandon is the reason I went to (U)NCSA. I wouldn't have known it existed without him! Brandon is a tremendous actor, handyman, voice over artisté, and the best best man a guy could ask for. Please enjoy this not short talk with my best friend who will hopefully return.

We talk Lake Jackson, TX; middle school sucks; where does his energy come from?; learning things from people and why reading is not for everyone. Enjoy.

  • Kira Geiger (Drama '15)

Kira Geiger! Finally on At The Elephants, Kira helped to produce the #BENT series we did in 2020 and  never made an appearance on the show. No longer! We talk about growing up in Seattle with a very unconventional family dynamic that shaped the way she thought about becoming an East Coaster. One of my favorite episodes recently, we got to the bottom of some great issues: conservatism, love, acceptance. It's a good one. Don't miss it!

  • Emma Coulter (Drama '15)

Emma returns! We catch up on how BENT went during the pandemic (after all the talking we did with the cast/crew on AtE), talk a little about her father (Steve Coulter, Drama '81), and really get into some great conversations about language and voice surrounding the topic of Emma's "THE ACCENT PROJECT". She's got a notoriously soft-spoken and calming demeanor but she has plenty to say on this week's episode At The Elephants! Don't miss it!

  • Luke Smith (Drama '11)

To Kill A Mockingbird came to Los Angeles and brought with it the great LUKE SMITH! We got into traveling with a company and the constant imposter syndrome that comes with being an artist. This is a great episode folks don't miss it!

  • Andrew Jernigan (Drama '10)

Andrew "Ace" Jernigan is one of my oldest friends in the UNCSA community. We made friends my first summer in Winston when I moved to town and already knew everyone. We bailed our friends out of jail together during the infamous BEACH WEEK saga. Far more recently and impressively: Andrew has been the drummer for the band NIGHT SPINS along with fellow alum JOSHUA BROCKI. We catch up with Ace on tour with Josh and Night Spins with a classic hotel room chat. Recently married, I was thrilled to catch up with my buddy and you guessed it: You don't want to miss this one.
