This episode we catch up with Sam Perry, co founder of Southern Box Lacrosse. Sam goes into some detail for us about what they've been doing recently and why Box has been picking up so much attention.
In this episode we catch up with Claire Faram. Claire has played for England senior women's team for nearly a decade now and has a huge amount of knowledge about the women's game from grass roots all the way up to the international stage. We discuss a large amount of topics specific to the women's game and lacrosse in general. thanks to Claire for being the first to do an episode of At The Draw.
In this Episode we talk with Rob Ingham Clark. Rob has one of the busiest lacrosse CV's going, his day job is head lacrosse at Stowe school, in his spare time he helps run the Camden Capybaras and to relax he coaches the England unis team and heads over to Luxemburg to help coach their national programme, amongst others.
In episode 3 we carry on our conversation with Sam and discuss his current role as Head of lacrosse at NTU. As on of the few full time lacrosse coaches in the country, Sam explains how his programme runs and how his role is having an effect on the programme and his opinion of the uni game in general.
We also discuss how a mens Super League would or wouldn't work in the UK. Why hasn't the mens game followed the women's in creating a semi professional league and is there the desire/need for one to be created.
In episode 2 we faceoff with Sam Patterson, England LSM and NTU head of Lacrosse, Sam has played the game for decades and has some amazing knowledge and opinions ranging from the domestic game where he started and continues to play with Stockport LC in Manchester, all the way up to international level with over a decade of representing the 3 lions.
I really enjoyed talking with Sam, I feel his dissection of the game is pretty accurate on just about every level. Thanks for giving the show the time and we look forward to having you on again in the future.
We caught up with Rob Gooch, SEMLA President for the first episode of At The Face. Rob discusses everything from how he got into lacrosse to the league restructure he brought in in his first year. The committee members at SEMLA do an outstanding job and are all volunteers, it was nice to speak with Rob and hear some of the issues SEMLA face as an organisation but also his opinion on the future of the sport. Special thanks to Rob for kicking us off with such a busy episode.
