Mike Sacks, whose new book is called Slouchers, a take on ’90s slacker films, such as Richard Linklater’s Slacker and Suburbia, Cameron Crowe’s Singles or Ben Stiller’s Reality Bites, is an author, writer, editor, journalist and podcaster who focusses on comedy, having written two great books of interviews with writers (And Here’s the Kicker and Poking a Dead Frog), as well as Stinker Lets Loose and Passable in Pink, takes on ’70s and ’80s movie genres. I talked to him about all things comedy and pop culture.
