March Madness is here! Host Adam Burke didn’t want to leave BangTheBook Radio listeners empty-handed for this first day of the first round, so he recorded about a 15-minute pep talk for our listeners with some important betting concepts to keep in mind throughout the day.
With the odds screen lighting up like a Christmas tree, it is another reminder that the most wonderful time of the sports year is here. Adam talked about what bettors should be doing in terms of looking at the board to ascertain who is betting what and then figure out why they are doing it. That is an important key today and tomorrow, when public investment certainly carries more weight in the betting markets. It is also important, as always, to keep live betting and derivative betting in mind. Adam talked about a few of the things to look for over the course of a game to grab some profitable opportunities.

A pick on yesterday’s show launched Adam into a big discussion about bankroll management and the industry as a whole. The Charlotte Hornets lost to the Brooklyn Nets in a game that was mentioned on the show as a good situational spot for the favorites. Sometimes it is good to reinforce important betting concepts in light of a bad outcome and Adam took the time to do that on today’s show.
He also talked about some college basketball betting angles for conference tournaments and why it’s important to file things away for future postseason events. A big card comes your way tonight in the NBA with some interesting situational spots, especially with the Cleveland Cavs, who are spending four days in Los Angeles at the tail end of this week.

As it turns out, host Adam Burke just can’t stay away from the microphone and from giving the listeners what they want. With daytime conference tournament action and four shows in three days, we were going to take a little breather today, but Adam decided that he would have none of it. Your favorite host chatted some college basketball, NBA, NHL, and MLB on today’s solo show.
Adam talked about four different sports betting markets here on today’s show, beginning with college basketball. He picked up on some observations from the conference tournaments and also talked about some of the things that we previously discussed with our listeners. For the NBA and NHL, he talked about some situational betting angles and also some important notes on how to read context clues in the betting market. With some MLB at the top and bottom of the show, listeners got a full-range of thoughts and ideas to consider.

Crisp and clean is a good way to describe this special edition of Handicapping the Hardwood. Not just because Adam was in studio, so we’ve got HD audio for you, but also because the guys were on point and in the zone with terrific conference tournament betting tips, free picks, and analysis. Kyle Hunter of HunterSportsPicks.com has been with us for a long time breaking down conference tourneys and the guys hit all 32 again this year.
The nine in question on this episode were the AAC, Southland, WAC, Big East, Big 12, Big West, Atlantic 10, Ivy, and SEC. We’ve got some tournaments at new venues, which could have a major impact on totals, and we have a lot of bubble teams spread across these leagues. The guys talked about futures prices that make sense, hedging possibilities, money line rollovers, coaching angles, and so much more. You’re not going to find many shows that cover all 32 conferences and Adam and Kyle have done it over four segments like it was nothing.
