Only one guest graced us with his presence on the March 1 edition of BangTheBook Radio, but it was a real good one and the sultry sounds of in-studio host Adam Burke made the show even better. We kicked off the Month of Madness with Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com and talked college football. Say what?! No, we actually did, as Brad has season win total projections done for every team outside of those in the Mountain West Conference. He talked about a futures bet that he likes a lot and gave some thoughts on some teams that are projected to do really well and some blue-blood programs that are not.
Don't you worry, we swung it back to college hoops after that. Adam and Brad talked about a lot of conference tournament betting angles and strategies. Brad talked about some of the things that he'll be looking for in the betting market in terms of recency bias and some hidden home court advantages that are unaccounted for by the books. The guys also dove into a discussion about bubble teams and talked about a futures bet for Brad. Regular season games are still going, so they discussed an overrated and underrated team and Duke vs. North Carolina coming up on Saturday.

We're wrapping up this week on BangTheBook Radio in style with a studio-quality recording featuring host Adam Burke and Kyle Hunter of HunterSportsPicks.com. The guys reconvened for another Handicapping the Hardwood segment, as they chatted about some important injury news and notes to follow, some important betting angles that are present as a result of conference tournaments and the end of the regular season, and took a look at a few games coming up on Saturday and Sunday that have a lot of intrigue.
Conference tournaments create unique betting angles, not just during the postseason, but at the end of the regular season as well and that was a key component of this show. Some conference tournaments don't take all of the teams. Some teams don't really want to bother with another game. We also see this with a profitable betting trend that Kyle mentioned, which also pertains to one of the games discussed for Saturday. This was a strong segment and one that will certainly help you bang the books in college hoops.

Two professional handicappers join us on the Thursday edition of BangTheBook Radio. Host Adam Burke will be joined by Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com and Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk.com for some college basketball betting content. As usual, we'll touch base with Brad on some happenings in the college football world, but the primary focus will be on the hardwood. The guys will chat about an overrated team and an underrated team as we approach the tournament. They'll also touch on Trae Young and the Oklahoma Sooners again as well as the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Brad has his top teams to win the NCAA Tournament and cut down the nets in March Madness and the guys will chat about the futures odds.
Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk.com also joins us this week. After missing last week, we'll chat with Ralph about his transition to being a full-time handicapper across all sports from last week's listener question. The guys will also do some bubble talk and discuss how that can be helpful in the betting markets. Head coach firings are starting to happen, so Ralph had some takes on those, as well as same-season revenge, and the importance of taking the non-conference out of the equation now. Thoughts on Senior Night and two best bets wrapped up the show.

It's Wednesday and you know what that means. Host Adam Burke was joined by Bryan Leonard and Wes Reynolds to talk a variety of different topics, with the focus primarily on the NBA on today's show. Adam and Bryan did give some thoughts on the MLB season and the current landscape around the league with so many teams vying for a whole lot of nothing. But, their main area of discussion was the NBA and how to bet coming out of the All-Star Break. There are a lot of considerations with the long layoff and Adam and Bryan covered them in deep detail.
Wes Reynolds also joined us to chat a little bit of NBA, as the guys talked about some derivative opportunities coming out of the All-Star Break and some of his betting strategies. There are a lot of ways to approach the games this week and the guys also talked about some long-term implications with tanking teams and how to go about betting their games. This week's Honda Classic was another topic of conversation, as Wes ran down some of the players that he has bet for this week's PGA Tour event.
