  • BangTheBook Sports Betting Talk Radio Podcast February 2
Host Adam Burke advertised Friday's edition of BangTheBook Radio as a mega show. He wasn't wrong. We had three outstanding guests and covered almost two hours worth of content, but it is certainly in everybody's best interest to listen to this edition of the show before locking in everything for Super Bowl 52. Much like last week, when we had three guests, we'll timestamp this episode to help listeners find just what they're looking for in terms of betting tips and free picks for the big game.
0:00-3:20 - Host Adam Burke intro'd today's show and talked about the great content to help with your SBLII betting at BangTheBook.com.
3:20-56:20 - Locky Lockerson joined us to talk side, total, and a whole bevy of prop bets, including a lot of the novelty props like Justin Timberlake's halftime show, the broadcast, and Pink's National Anthem, which we haven't talked much about this week.
56:20-1:16:30 - Brent from DSI Sportsbook joined us for this week's Odds Report to discuss the betting action so far, including how his book is different from the others that are out there based on the bets that have been made.
1:16:30-1:56:15 - Whale Capper joined us with the strongest position we've seen on the actual spread for the game this week and the guys also discussed a ton of different prop bets, including the cross-sport options.

Two editions of BangTheBook Radio remain before the Big Game and we're going to have you ready for all possible betting angles. Host Adam Burke welcomed two of our most trusted guests to the program on Thursday, as Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com joined us and we also spent some time with Ralph Michaels of WagerTalk.com. The topics of conversation are obvious by this point. Super Bowl 52 played a prominent role in today's discussions, with a look at the side and total action that we've seen on the game and a long chat about the different prop betting options that are available.
We also spent a few minutes talking college basketball with Ralph, as he shared a couple of best bets for listeners, with one for Thursday night and one for Saturday night.

As the minutes pass, we get closer and closer to Super Bowl 52. Host Adam Burke will chat about the big game with two guests on this Wednesday edition of BangTheBook Radio. We'll start with Bryan Leonard of WagerTalk.com and finish up with Wes Reynolds, @WesReynolds1 on Twitter. The steady stream of Eagles money has not stopped, so we'll chat with Bryan about that and also the pressure of being a pick seller in the industry with these big games. Bryan has locked in some props for the Eagles vs. Patriots game and chatted about some of those with us on today's show.
Wes Reynolds is a high-volume handicapper, so taking the time to play the prop market is a challenge for him. He's still watching the odds for Super Bowl LII and talked about the movement that we've seen so far and also hit on some of the props that he has looked at and played in the lead-up to the game. We've been neglecting some other markets as we focus on the Super Bowl, so Adam and Wes spent a few minutes on the Waste Management Phoenix Open and a busy NBA card for Wednesday night.

A day closer to Super Bowl LII and we're ready to keep bringing the insight and analysis that you've come to expect from BangTheBook Radio. Host Adam Burke will have two guests today, as he chats with Brian Blessing, the host of Sportsbook Radio and Vegas Hockey Hotline, about Super Bowl 52, the prop bets, and the return of the NHL from the All-Star Break. The guys will discuss how little Patriots money we've seen in the marketplace and how some Vegas books have already gone to -4. They'll also hit some of Brian's favorite Super Bowl props and talk about the NHL games for Tuesday night's card.
Adam recorded a segment with Marc Meltzer, a freelance man about town in Vegas to discuss some of the restaurants and viewing parties that those heading out to Sin City for the Big Game or for March Madness may want to consider. This was a good segment for anybody that hasn't been out to Las Vegas for a while or those that are unsure about how it works for big events like this.

Super Bowl Week is here! We'll have plenty of things to talk about all week long on BangTheBook Radio with host Adam Burke as we get ready for the big game and we'll start right away with Joe Everett of NFL Draft Bible. Joe is back from the Senior Bowl, so we'll get some quick thoughts on that and then focus on Super Bowl LII, as we still wait to see if any sharp money hits the board on New England. They'll talk about the matchups that you can exploit with player props using Joe's talent and evaluation background.
Kyle Hunter from HunterSportsPicks.com joins us for this week's Handicapping the Hardwood segment. The guys will hit Super Bowl LII briefly, as Kyle's focus remains college basketball at this time of year. They'll hit the line and a prop bet or two before focusing on a listener question about home court advantage values for the NBA and college basketball. A very important discussion about bankroll management kicked off our usual college basketball thoughts on teams to buy low and sell high and some important games to look at for this week.

A jampacked Friday edition of BangTheBook Radio ran longer than host Adam Burke expected, and we had some audio issues along the way, but don't let that deter you from three outstanding segments to wrap up this week of shows. We talked Super Bowl LII, college basketball futures, and the Friday night NBA card on today's show with Locky Lockerson, Brent from DSI Sportsbook, and Whale Capper. To make things a tad easier with the long show, and since it was recorded on Thursday, we'll timestamp the segments today.
From 4:15-45:20, you'll hear Super Bowl LII and college basketball futures betting advice from Locky Lockerson, as he highlighted some teams that fit the "Championship Profile" and are worth some investment.
From 45:20-1:01:50, Brent from DSI Sportsbook joined us for this week's version of The Odds Report to update the money we've seen on Super Bowl LII and to give his thoughts on where this line may go.
From 1:01:50-1:48:50, Whale Capper joined us to share his thoughts on Super Bowl LII and also take an extended look at the Friday night betting card for the NBA.
Bear with the three different modes of audio recording we were forced into because it shouldn't detract from the important betting tips on today's show.

Two professional handicappers will join us to provide their insights on Super Bowl LII and college basketball on the Thursday edition of BangTheBook Radio. Host Adam Burke will chat with Brad Powers of BradPowersSports.com to start things off. The guys will discuss the line for the 2018 Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, including some of the interesting line movement we've seen so far. They'll also discuss Brad's approach to sorting out all of the prop bets with a lot of options available. We'll also touch on a Thursday night best bet for him on the college basketball side of things and see what trends or betting angles he's picked up on thus far.
Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk.com will be today's second guest. We'll get Ralph's initial thoughts on the line for Super Bowl LII and about the action we've seen so far. He's hard at work preparing what he'll look to do with the props, so we got some insights from him on how he sorts through the vast array of options and what he likes to focus on. Then we switched over to college hoops to chat about Conference USA and see whether or not MTSU has competition. Ralph had a best bet for Thursday night and also one for Saturday night for our loyal listeners.

We're just about halfway through that long bye week for the NFL playoffs. Host Adam Burke will sit down and chat with Bryan Leonard from WagerTalk.com for this week's Sports Wagering Talk about Super Bowl LII and the NBA. The game between the Eagles and the Patriots is still several days away, but we're seeing more investment on the underdog, so we'll get Bryan's thoughts on that and where he thinks the line will go over the next few days. On the NBA side, we'll get Bryan's thoughts on some recent developments and about tonight's big card of games.
Wes Reynolds also joins us for this week's Wednesday Wagering with Wes Reynolds segment. Adam will get Wes's takes on the Super Bowl LII line and the movement that we've seen so far. The guys will also focus on the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, as Tiger Woods makes his PGA Tour return. They'll talk about that, his inflated prices, and handicap a pretty good field with golf betting tips and picks.

On we go into another edition of BangTheBook Radio. Host Adam Burke will start things off with Brian Blessing, the host of Sportsbook Radio and Vegas Hockey Hotline, to chat about the early Super Bowl LII lines and the movement that we've seen so far. Prop bets are also out very early this year, so we have a lot of those to consider already as well. They also discussed the NHL All-Star Break and if the NHL should be handicapped differently this week. Adam asked Brian if he sees any teams coming out hot following the layoff and if he sees some teams coming out sluggish as we head towards the Trade Deadline.
We also welcomed back Ed Feng of The Power Rank to discuss Super Bowl LII and spend a little bit of time on tonight's college basketball card. Adam and Ed chatted about what the betting market has said about the Eagles vs. Patriots game thus far and also highlighted some key matchups that look likely to influence the way this game is broken down. They also talked about Ed's approach to prop betting and what his early thoughts are. On the college basketball side, the guys looked at a few of tonight's marquee games and looked for some other edges in the data that is out there.

We're starting off our wall-to-wall Super Bowl LII coverage right away on BangTheBook Radio. Host Adam Burke will start things off with Joe Everett of NFL Draft Bible for our NFL Week in Review & Super Bowl LII Preview. We'll have plenty of time to dive into the X's and O's of the big game, but we'll get a head start on it with Joe by looking at Tom Brady and the Patriots vs. the Eagles defense and Nick Foles vs. that New England defense. We'll also take a look at the two teams eliminated over the weekend and see how they are set up for next season.
Kyle Hunter of HunterSportsPicks.com will join us for this week's Handicapping the Hardwood segment.  The guys will briefly look at the Super Bowl LII line, but will focus mostly on college hoops. They'll address some March Madness futures per listener request. They'll talk about a sell high team and a buy low team.
