This one was a longtime coming, but in this episode of The Check-In, Danielle Moodie and I sort through the trauma, the pain, the grief, and the anger following Alex Pretty’s murder in Minneapolis. We talk about what it feels like to realize that the Democratic Party isn’t on our side, that this battle belongs to us and is going to require us to protect one another and put our lives on the line for complete stranger. I let out a lot of my anger about this intolerable bullshit in this episode, and I hope you’re finding ways to let out yours. This isn’t okay, this isn’t right, and it needs to stop.
