There will be more and more climate refugees in the future. So the glacier indicates that we are living beyond our means. In our personal lives, this mechanism also applies: we can live well beyond our means in terms of various resources - but at some point it is too much. The money is gone or the body goes on strike, relationships break down. Think about which indicators, which glaciers you should pay attention to in your life for a healthy lifestyle.

Actually, to my knowledge, the door frame hardly receives any attention. If, then the door. It allows or prevents access to a room. If they don't work well, the door sticks. Our lives also have an anchor point. Somewhere we tie it down. When everything is going well, we don't think about it - although it's actually those times when we tighten our hold so that it will hold when things get adverse. Individually. The uniqueness and specialness of each one is expressed in this way. Most of the time they are enjoyed individually and not consumed like cookies or chocolate. This also expresses their specialness.

It shows how much we are created on relationship and relationship networks. It's called "no man is an island". We have a need for - yes for what essentially? I believe for being seen and recognized. Undivided, genuine attention and interest. That's why in Hebrew, when Adam was intimate with Eve, it says: he recognized her. Our soul also needs hygiene. But also a species-appropriate one. Repression - the counterpart to indifferent throwing away - does not help in the long run. The soul needs cleansing according to its species. John says of Jesus that he is the one who disposes of all the guilt of the cosmos. So if one wants so the global garbage man. In the past, in some places where there was wood - be it in the forest or in a forest hut - carvings were found that showed, for example, a heart and two names or initials in it. It was a visualization of a love relationship and with this carving probably also the desire that this would last as long as possible. The fact that it was carved into wood also meant that it was engraved here, that it was held on to, that it would not be erased. Manifestation and imprinting in one. A message of joy and love and mystery. What if our everyday life was like this? If through our lives we imprinted our environment the way lovers consciously do in wood. Why subjunctive? I believe that if we went through our everyday life with this attitude, as if we were permanently stamping our environment with messages of love with - figuratively speaking - a pocket knife, that we ourselves would be amazed at how much joy this would trigger in others and also in us. So: let's just do it!

Surely you know the story of Jesus feeding over 5000 people. John tells the story and introduces it with Jesus asking Philip where they buy so much bread from so that everyone eats. And then John writes that Jesus was testing Philip with this question because Jesus knew what he wanted to do. Sounds a bit mean. Jesus - so it seems to me - leads Philip on a wrong track with his question: the focus where to take the money from and then where to buy so much bread with the money - so a purely natural solution to the problem. But Jesus solves the problem in a completely different way: a little available bread he multiplies supernaturally. I draw two conclusions from this: First, when you face a problem, check if you are asking the right questions to solve it and second, count on God's supernatural possibilities.

I find a flame on a candle, for example, fascinating. It virtually sticks to the wick and is difficult to remove from there. Even a breeze or wind can bend it in one direction or another, but it hangs firmly on the wick - unless it goes out when there is no oxygen. Then it is completely gone, disappeared. Not lying next to the candle. Simply gone. In one of his speeches, Jesus tells his friends that they can't do anything if they don't stay close to him. That reminds me of the flame. If I hold on to Jesus, to the wick so to speak, life can remain stormy, but I am firmly anchored to him and my faith is the oxygen that makes it possible for me to hold on to him despite adverse circumstances - and to continue to burn, to live, to exist. This comparison helps me. Simply to know that there is an anchor in my life that won't let me go. I hope you too.

The other day I reached into a jacket pocket and pricked myself on a toothpick. Annoying. A toothpick is something that very few of us need on a daily basis. Many stand around for a long time before being used once. But when you need one because you have something in your teeth that you can't get out that way - a toothpick is irreplaceable. Sometimes we feel the same way - we are not noticed, but when we are suddenly needed, we have to be there and available. This can be hurtful for us because we feel used. In this case, it is helpful not to make one's own identity and significance dependent on the selective need or attention of others or to draw it from the spontaneously demanded performance. Those who know they are loved unconditionally by God are less vulnerable to the lack of attention or spontaneous attention from others. This helps when it comes to being spontaneously available.

A windmill is beautiful just to look at. But even more amazing what it can do: Thanks to the capture of the wind, it can move millstones via a construction, which then grind grain. So an unbelievable power from the wind is released or captured and used specifically. In the Bible, the wind is also an image of the Holy Spirit. So if you take the image of the windmill: whose spirit or wind do you expose yourself to and by which spirit do you let yourself be driven? I think it's like the windmill: the wind that is caught there eventually drives. So: if you expose yourself to a good and healthy spirit, it will drive you and produce good results such as contentment, gratitude, kindness, love, peace, etc.. A bad mind, on the other hand, will produce envy, jealousy, quarrelsomeness, dissatisfaction, stinginess, feelings of lack, etc. Therefore, consciously align your windmill - again and again.
