Have you ever seen a single grain of sand? Or a raindrop? They are insignificantly small. But is there a sandy beach without individual grains or a rain without the individual drops? Insignificant in their individual occurrence, perhaps, but decisive and important and perceptible in the aggregate. It is the same with our thoughts. We may not even notice a single one. Nor whether it is positive or negative against or for us, etc.. But in the sum they are decisive! We speak and act the way we think. Just as a single grain of sand carries the DNA of the entire beach, our thoughts carry the essence of our actions, or vice versa: our actions are an expression of our thinking. In such a context, Jesus once said "By the fruit you know the tree." What fruit do you provide? Do you really want to offer those or would you rather offer others? It is up to you or in your heart: decide what thoughts you allow!

When I imagine a palm tree, I see a long trunk and only at the top the large leaves and immediately below its fruits, the coconuts. So these are not easily accessible. This is also the case with trees in our regions. The tree protects its fruits by making them inaccessible in a certain way - until they are ready for harvesting. If they were easily accessible, the inexperienced or impatient would take them too soon: they would be inedible and might even harm him. So what may look like a refusal at first glance is in essence a protection against harm to the recipient. If you find yourself in a situation today in which you have the impression that something is being withheld from you - check whether this is perhaps even for your protection and not out of resentment. And if you cannot see it, trust that it is for your own good .

Today, many of us go to the gym. What used to be important for only a few is now important for almost everyone: an investment in health. For some, it's just an investment in an attractive body. Either way, we can only experience changes in our bodies, for example muscle growth, if we keep giving ourselves new impulses, impulses that push us to the appropriate physical limits. We say "no pain, no gain". If you find yourself in a situation today, or have been in one for a while, where you are reaching your emotional limits, try to see it as an opportunity for growth, for positive change. But be careful: even with workouts it can be too much and then injuries can occur. In such a case, it is better to stop, protect yourself and leave the situation.

According to the Duden dictionary, tolerance is the ability of forbearance or the willingness to accept a different view, attitude, customs, habits, etc. In our time, I observe that precisely those who accuse others of a lack of tolerance because they hold a certain opinion are extremely intolerant towards them and do not have this ability of forbearance that they demand from others. Or some would say: typical human: expecting something from others that you yourself are not willing or able to offer. What about you? Do you also find such contradictions in your life? Unfortunately, they are usually detrimental to good relationships. Unmask such patterns in yourself and get rid of them, for example, by being honest and authentic towards yourself and others. Or by consciously starting to change such contradictions in your life.

In these days of climate protection, energy production from coal, for example, is very controversial. On the one hand, it is considered very harmful for the climate, on the other hand, many livelihoods, jobs and thus economic aspects depend on it. Many of us find it difficult to make changes or adjustments for good reasons. I have said it before. The creature of habit in us then goes wild. But nevertheless: be open and confident that if something that has been the case up to now proves to be no longer up to date, then something new will come along and you will open yourself up to it in a positive way. Not out of fear but with joyful anticipation. Who knows what great experiences you will have as a result?

A few months ago, during a stay at the clinic, I created communion dishes out of clay. Since then, I have taken communion from it almost every day. Today, my wife broke this homemade dish. That hurt. I associated so many memories with it. There is no equivalent replacement. It was nothing big, had hardly any material value. But still... Letting go is sometimes difficult for me. But it also sets me free and gives me the opportunity to open up to something new. If you are currently in the process of letting go - whatever it may be - be encouraged that you can at least be grateful for the time before the letting go, that you carry positive memories and that you are able to be emotionally engaged at all. And: I promise you that something new will come. Not a replacement of the lost, perhaps. But something new and alive. Be encouraged and look forward to it...

When we talk about ladders, most of us have a clear picture in mind: two vertical bars made of metal or wood connected parallel to each other with rungs in between. Ladders give us access to higher or lower levels that we would find difficult or impossible to reach without their help. Therefore, they are an excellent aid: be it in buildings or even for harvesting. In the German language, however, the term for ladder is the same as for leader. These are people who bear responsibility, usually have a special competence or experience and are therefore qualified to guide. Analogous to the ladder, they also bring people to higher levels or into the deeper depths, for example in terms of experiences or feelings. I am convinced that you also have such competence to guide others - simply through your very own experience. Why don't you use it consciously today for others to give them a new experience on unknown levels.

In German there is a saying that goes like this: "They are no good to eat cherries with.". You say this when you don't get on well with someone. The expression comes from the Middle Ages. At that time cherries were very rare and expensive. Only richer people could afford them. If they met to eat cherries together and discovered guests who had not been invited, they would spit cherry stones and stems at them until they left. It was not good to eat cherries with them. We still have this binary classification today: ally or enemy. But maybe today it's time to cross that line and "offer cherries to unwanted guests". Be open to what happens then. Maybe you will make new friends with whom you will enjoy sharing and eating cherries in the future. Love overcomes and heals.

You either like it or you don't, but I hardly know anything in between. It's all about coffee. Coffee can be consumed in many different ways: with milk or sugar or milk foam or as an espresso, ristretto, lungo, with aroma and with chocolate on the milk foam, and so on. The fact is, however, that with almost all of these variations, the taste changes immediately as soon as something is added. Even a small dose of milk or sugar - it is then a different drink. I don't mean this in a judgmental way. But transferred: we can also fill our thoughts with very different things - no matter how much or little of it, it will affect our thinking, then also our speaking and finally our behaviors. So if we want to change our behaviour in certain areas, we have to start with what we allow in our thoughts, how we fill them. I wish you much wisdom and good experiences with this.

There are many fairy tales and stories and especially parents or grandparents like to tell them to their children. But adults also read, watch and listen to them: whether crime series or fiction books. We experience or find something in these stories that we obviously lack in our lives and everyday life. However, I believe that it is not primarily our purpose to seek and live through these longings for these often difficult-to-formulate needs in such escapes, but that these longings are given to us so that we can bring them into being in this world and realise them ourselves, become a part of them. So the next time you dive into a fairytale world - please bring something back from it and implement it in this world. You are called to do that!
