What if the biggest problem with socialism is also a problem with American capitalism?

In this episode, I break down the Christian critique of socialism and communism—concentrated power, loss of freedom, and control by a small elite—and ask why that same suspicion so often disappears when the power belongs to corporations and billionaires instead of the state.

We get into wealth concentration, corporate influence over elections, the difference between socialism and social democracy, what the early church actually taught about hoarding wealth, and why capitalism isn’t inherently more “Christian” than any other economic system.

This isn’t an argument for communism (far from it, actually). It’s an argument for consistency: if Christians believe unchecked power is dangerous, we should be willing to scrutinize it whether it comes from the government or the boardroom. It’s also an argument in favor of an economic system that is statistically proven to produce the best outcomes for all people… but you’ll have to watch the episode to find out what that system is!
