In conjunction with IWD 2021, we recorded an episode discussing what it means to be a woman, who our idols are and how do we celebrate ourselves as women. We also touch on the binary of femininity and masculinity, and the internalised misogyny that we sometimes experience.

*Trigger warning for Queerphobia & Suicide* Wow, wow, wow!! what a conversation we had with Naavi. Shaya and Lama chat to Naavikaran about their experience moving to Australia from India about 5 years ago and the struggle to find community. We discuss the intersections of being a multi-gender trans woman and finding comfort and joy in being alive in this moment. We talk through the stories behind Naavi's latest track 'Closet'. Shaya asks Naavikaran whether masculinity in itself is the problem with our world and if there even is a different way we can define masculinity & femininity for ourselves. Lama also gets to ask our guest questions from OUR AUDIENCE!!! The questions cover finding a sense of belonging as a queer immigrant in Australia, relationships, and whether coming out to South Asian families can be different from our white counterparts. Enjoy!
