In a very special Sports Legends with Bevo and on one of the biggest days of his life I had the incredible pleasure of chatting to West Adelaide Football Club young gun and all-round nice guy Josh Carmichael who is a red hot chance of getting picked up in tonight’s AFL mid-season draft.
Josh has been tearing it up this year at the Bloods in the SANFL competition averaging 24 possessions a game, 5 clearances and has kicked 9 goals in his eight games which resulted in him representing SA against WA recently in SA’s thrilling win at Optus Stadium.
We spoke about how Josh ended up at the Bloods, what it would mean to him to be picked up in the mid-season draft, his thoughts on the SANFL competition, influences on his footy career and life growing up at Merbein in country Victoria.
We also had a bit of fun where I got Josh to dish the dirt on some of his team mates at the club.
Thanks so much to Josh for giving up his time on such a busy day, to Josh Ryan from the WAFC for teeing up the chat and to Jeff Richardson from JP Media for a great job of filming and editing the video.
Thankyou to our partners Peter Page Hyundai and Anytime Fitness Glenelg.

I have loved watching both Louis and Gabe from afar with their awesome authenticity and awesome nature as they continue to build upon the beast known as Nine To Five Fitness. A fitness platform that provides training programs, meal plans, apparel and an awesome podcast which brings a realistic nature to the life of a 20-30 year old. The content made via these guys continuously blows up on TikTok and Instagram and it was a joy to finally meet these boys and share a discussion about almost everything and nothing in the one! A feel good show, enjoy the ride and subscribe!! :)

It was a pleasure to interview a mentor of mine and one of SA's biggest media personalities Mark Aiston on Sports Legends with Bevo.
We spoke about how Mark first got into the media, overcoming his mental health battles, how the great Bruce McAvaney has been a big influence on his career and we reminisced over the famous incident in 2011 with newsreader Belinda Heggen when Mark was reading the sport for Channel Ten Adelaide that went viral.
Thanks so much to Mark for his time, to the team at PodBooth for putting this great video together and to our partners Anytime Fitness and Peter Page Hyundai for their support.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to understand yourself, how you learn, and how your child learns. In this episode Kate continues her conversation with New Zealand’s Karen Tui Boyes about how she helps parents in their role to encourage their kids in lifelong learning.
We’re not all built the same and once we understand one another’s personal preferences, magic can happen.
Guest: Karen Tui Boyes
Karen is a former teacher and now an international speaker based in New Zealand. But her love for teaching has never waned. She provides presentations for educators, study skills for students and helps businesses achieve corporate success. In 2019 she was named New Zealand’s Speaker of the Year.

It was great to catch up with another comedian who is doing great things on the comedy circuit, Biddy O’Loughlin who brought along her daughter Dolly!
Biddy is the daughter of another comedy legend Fiona O’Loughlin and we spoke about the buzz of performing together earlier this year.
We also discussed Biddy’s show ‘Funny Girl Sad Songs’ which she performed at this year’s Adelaide Fringe, her comedy journey, where she gets the material for her shows and a funny moment when someone didn’t realise that Biddy was the daughter of Fiona!
Thanks so much to Biddy for her time, to Rory from Podbooth for putting this great video together and our partner Anytime Fitness Glenelg.

Dom Tyson played 150 games across his career for GWS & Melbourne Demons polling a 2nd in the Demons BnF in 2016. Mick Barlow came through the back door of the AFL but had a sensational career after joining Fremantle at age 21. Two of the great blokes around the game join me to discuss the latest with their lives as we go through the early stages of AFL 2022. A great laugh and chat all around, make sure you hit that subscribe :)
