At 27 years of age, Dean opened the doors of ACA. Over 30 years later, he remains at the helm, and he is as curious and committed as he was when he began. Meet the man behind the brand who believes that: “Brand as a word is meaningless. It’s the high-quality interactions and conversations that take place day by day and hour by hour that actually create the energy behind a brand”.

Dean’s vision and dedication has enabled ACA to become an iconic part of the Sydney education and arts’ landscape by offering the highest quality artistic and creative education Australia has to offer.

Dean has worked professionally in the industry for over 40 years. He has been Head of Acting at three of the most prestigious acting schools in Australia, producing many of Australia’s best and most sought-after actors on the national and international scene.

His deep insights into the craft of theatre has led to the publication of 4 books: The Actor’s Audition Manual (1985), Masterclass (1995), and The Acting Edge (2012). His new book, The Artist’s M.A.P. will be published by World Scientific Publishing in 2019.
